Sorry but it's a glorious day here today, the kids did PE over on the field and have all come back with hayfever, got 4 of em lined up outside the office with damp tissues on their eyes, once it's catches on I'll have 481 out there
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I can just picture it!
I'm being carp too...TOTALLY - take me out & shoot me - my only saving grace with my drinking is that I drink LOADS of water in the part-of-day before the wine. I have a pint tankard on my desk (Frocester Beer Festival 1993) which I get through at least 2 of every morning & will have another pint or so later. The thirst thing is odd....on my (extremely rare) AF days I drink water constantly all evening as well.
Al least I'm still getting on with stuff - went to aerobics yesterday after a month off & not suffering today!!!! Shame I undo the good work later.
ETA sorry you're feeling bad dottie...I wish work would try & send me home!0 -
Is anyone about? I've got these kudzu tablets in my bag and gonna take some today. How many do I take and what time, I leave work at 4pm and that's when danger zone starts..DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Hi Jo
I'd take them now if you are starting to stress a bit
Sometimes when I am worried I take them then and the feeling does seem to shift - might be just int he mind but its working I think.
And drink lots water so you need to rush home to go to loo!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Jo, I take mine around 5-5.30 as I start craving around 6pm.My H&B tabs say take 2 tabs.
Funny about the drink thing. I can't handle not having a drink in my hand in the early part of the evening - years of conditioning eh?? Hubby is cutting down too from drinking every night. He now gets through several bottles of ginger beer a week and I am getting through gallons of low cal tonic water  On a bad night I pretend it has vodka in it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Well, if it works..........:p0 -
Jo - I just took one tablet of Kudzu yesterday and then one today but it says you can take two a day so maybe you could take one in the morning and one later on? I think that is what I will do.
I have eaten so much junk food today and I have been copying people on here and drinking lots of water too. My belly looks like I'm about 6 months pregnant! I usually have a beer gut but it is much worse today. People will start to ask me if that's why I have stopped drinking!:DHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

hi every one was just wondering if anyone could help me with a little (or big)advice.
I think my OH has a drink problem. he has always been a drinker but because he worked it was never a problem.he was always to busy to drink except at weekends, pretty normal really. unfortunately he lost his job and since then hasn't had luck with another and he is really drinking heavily.
It has gotten so bad that he stays up himself till 3/4 in the morning drinking then wants to sleep all day. i have tried stopping him getting near any of our money but he just borrows it and i have to pay it back. (told people not to but they still do). his family don't believe he has a problem as he can go a night without drink(whoopee:mad:)
Last night he drank so much on his own he was sick when he came to bed all over the duvet,he was so out of it he couldn't stand to go to the toilet it is now in the bin. any idea what i could do cant live with him when he is like this.
lol the duvet is in the bin not the toilet.......i knew what i meant.slowly going nuts at the world:T0 -
Hiya
Chnelomi - sounds like things are hard - huge hugs to you.
I can't offer much advice I am afraid but sure some of the others will be along soon to offer something to you. Hugs on OH losing job - what a terrible blow to you both.
All I can say is that I hope things improve for you - and you are right its hard to live with someone when they are drinking heavily.
Thinking of you at the moment - and you are in the right place for lots of support xxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi chnelomi,
Sorry to hear about your problems. The following is just my opinion, and I will probably be shot down in flames, but it would have worked for my problem
First thing is you need to stop paying people back that lend him money. They will soon stop lending when they don't see it back.
At the moment he has no consequences for the problem so doesn't think he has a problem.
If I were you I would leave the mess for him to clear up and take some time out yourself to let him think. A couple of days won't hurt.
He really needs to know he has a problem before he can get any help. He needs to see his GP, as he sounds like he has depression. You need to urge him to go and make family and friends aware of the problem otherwise their 'assistance' by giving him money is just going to make it worse.
Anyway - just my opinion ..... puts tin hat on .....
Best Wishes
BHB
PS. Everyone else - 16 consecutive AF days for me guys, and I can also report Bitburger Drive and Lime cordial do NOT mix _pale_
