Right. I've convinced myself. I'm adding my meat free date to my autosignature...

Lunch today was courtesy of Asda: Humous (88p) and pitta breads (26p)
Veggie and money saving. I love humous too, so it's a win-win (win?) situation.

I had an omlette, it was veggie but not on purpose! I'm going on a meet-up with some people from another forum, staying overnight in a hotel and having a meal. I have never met any of them before and its at the end of this month (31st!!). Now I've never done anything like this before, Im shy really, but they are all lovely and I really want to meet them all. So how will I manage it without drinking!?

Just been into see my counsellor.
My counsellor wants me to do reduction therapy starting from today; ie Drink 18 cans of 3-4 % beer this week spread out, which is 20% less alcohol overall than last week. She said to avoid stella so as to try and change my tastes as well as the unit intake.
I am going to have to think a bit more about my AF days, or whether to just limit my intake everyday. She did say its best to spread it out rather than have all 18 cans at once :D.
Its all to do with this 2-3 days then I get withdrawal malarkey.
How would you approach it ? Doing it my way is obviously not working so better listen to the professionals, I guess.

If you remember (or care to :D), when I did my reduction detox last year it worked a treat (I obviously boogered it up a few months later ) but it did make the withdrawals a lot easier to cope with.

Have you tried the new Stella the 4% one in the grey can? Dunno if it tastes similar or not

I can't offer advice really, chap, as I don't know your personal circs. However, I will say that 'reduction therapy' sounds to me to be the equivalent of nicotine patches, which I could (and have done) rant on at length about (theraputic nicotine my ar5e!!!   ), indicating that 'professionals' sometimes don't know jack.

Feel much better now. But it doesn't help you any :o Sorry

Sounds like it worked ok for jo, so maybe it would be worth giving it a go. you are more than welcome to drop out of the challenge, don't let that sway your judgment. You know you will still get lots of support from us. Do what you feel.
