    Hi everyone :hello:

Just back from boxercise :D Really feeling pooped, guess I must be getting older. ;)
Firstly I just wanted to say: A BIG THANKYOU to Gc, Mp, Dear Lurky, BsNtc, Miss P and Fedup for your very kind words, and there was I worrying that my posts were too long and everyone got bored of reading before the end? (As I can't get to log on until the evening there always seems so much to say, and if I can I try not to leave anyone out)? So THANKYOU again I'm really touched. But hey you are all fantastic on here and you all give so much support. Lots of love and hugs. xxxxxxxx

Welcome to: BarneyDee and Spider125 good luck on cutting down or giving up. You will always get support on here whenever you need it. Take care, hugs. xxxxx

Dear Lurky and the Lovely Esther of course you will both hit the jumpy target this month. Here's one for now :j (only on loan though) ;) BsNtc will be awarding the month end ones. Hey and we all know how strict she can be? :rotfl:Love n hugs to you both and the family. xxxxx

Ud well done on chalking up another af day. :T Keep up all your good work. Hugs xxxxx

Jo I'm hoping the Kudzu helps you this evening? Also that you have sorted out some way forward with the tax credits people? So take care and look after yourself. Hugs xxxxx

Miss P glad to hear you are feeling better now, take care, hugs. xxxxx

Fay glad you are back, I hope your trip went well? Have you brought any goodies? Get some well earned rest and look after yourself. Hugs xxxxx

Fedup so glad things are clearer now for you, you are doing so well and hold onto what it feels like when you do drink too much. When I go out now I want to be in control and not wake up feeling ill and trying to piece together the night before? So as Eselt says you can go and not drink, just think how fabulous you will feel knowing that you have stayed strong and still had a good evening. Please take care and good luck. Hugs xxxxx

BsNtc I'm on 24 af days now please, so glad to hear that Mothers Day went well and all your hard work paid off. So take care and thanks again for doing the scoring this month and giving everyone a good laugh. :rotfl:With the BB theme. Hugs xxxxxx Oh and I would love a ginger beer party ;) with a shiny star???? :D

To all the housemates who are off the naughty bench, well done and keep up all your good work. :T Hugs xxxx

To all our missing housemates please pop in and post, as you are all missed. Hugs xxxxxxxxxx

Ok hope I haven't missed anyone?
Sending everyone a Big Budgie ((()))
Nite Nite and God Bless xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ps hope thats not too long? :D
Cherish the ones you love and travel back on the road that brings you home :)

    AF10 for me ntc, please.

For once Holby helped me stay AF tonight. All those hung-over people and then the breath testing.

Welcome to new people, you'll get all the help you need on here whether you join the ranks of the cutters-down or the givers-up. Only a week to go of this month so why not join us in April by setting a target? You'd be very welcome.

I'm aiming for 4 this week so that I can reach my target with days to spare. I have a heavy day planned tomorrow but if I want wine I'll have go and buy some as no quaffing stuff in the house. Hopefully this will help me resist.
  • Budget - I just want to add my thanks for your posts - it must be quite difficult and no, they're not boring

Fedup...you are so strong - wow, I wish I had your resolve

Had a great session in the gym this evening - then had a few glasses of the red stuff so still stuck on six I'm sorry to say

Have a good evening everyone, here's to a FUAS kinda day tomorrow:A :A

Jo - hope you got the DWP sorted out (or is it HMRC?)

Stroppy - keep on posting, let us know how you are, one way or another.

Bismarck - sorry things have been a bit Daisy Doo recently - well done for keeping strong

Target is looking a bit unrealistic from here, I'll do what I can.

NTC Can I take the British Rail (showing my age now) approach and if I'm within 10% of target then that counts as hitting target

    Morning everyone,

I forgot to say Hi and welcome to Spider and Barney yesterday. It is a very supportive place and a good laugh and thoughtful if you want it to be.

Upsy Daisy, I found the first month and a half of cutting down very difficult. I didn't think I would because I didn't think I was drinking way over what I should be, just a few glasses of wine 4-5 nights a week. Then when I cut down, my sleep was disripted, my skin erupted, i felt run down, moods all over the place and I couldn't believe they were to do with drinking less. After 6 weeks or so I started to feel better and less pulled towards drinking. My sleep has improved :D , my mood has improved ( !), skin well  getting there???? Overall I feel much better for cutting down and this month is the best I have felt. I guess it takes time for me to feel the benefit

You'll get there, just hang in and get support from here and I hope it falls into place for you

    Good morning all!

Feeling quite chirpy today. Decided I've got to bite the bullet and try and make myself happier. Lifes been a bit pants lately one way or another and have been feeling very down.

So last night I had a long chat with Mum and OH. Going to make some changes.

Firstly, for a while I'm only going to put munchkin in nursery on the tues and thu pm when I go to work. I had increased it to Wd AM's and longer on the Thursday, But Munchkin has been getting very upset about going, throwing up etc. Its been hell for a few weeks with me getting upset too. On the Tues and THU pm he seems fine as he knows I'm going to work. Takes a lot of pressure off. I know I SHOULD stick with it but I really don't see the point of making him miserable just so I can come home and sit on the computer!:rotfl:

Theres a few other things too. Saturdays are going to be "My" day. I usually spend the mornings with Mum but the rest of the day is going to be mine too. OH is going to do the cooking that day (god help me!)

So hopefully I should start feeling cheerier rather than the misery mare I have been !:rotfl:

Funnily enough, being down, alcohol has been the last thing on my mind. I think I'm one of those unusual people that DON'T turn to drink when I'm depressed. I drink more when I'm happy!

Anyway, enough rambling. Hope everyone is ok. FUAS, hope you resolve the dilemma about what to do about your night out. I had the same issue lately and I decided to drive. Was SO glad I did. Was up and about early the next morning and felt great knowing I hadn't doing anything silly to embarrass myself!

    NTC 23 for me please!

    Miss P
    xx

  • Thanks NTC - feeling very rough today - even though I drank less last night than usual

Looking at the actual days we've achieved this month and assuming we spend a fiver each when we drink (some more, some less) - I calculate that we have saved £1825 between us this month.:j

I bet Gordon is feeling the pinch from the lost tax revenue :p

  •  morning all

some great posts to catch up with today very heartfelt and thought provoking. So Ill wreck it now with a meaningless one:rotfl:

Life is chugging along as normal in chateau NTC. I am defintely finding my AF days easier now in fact tbh I dont really think about having a drink now unless it is already planned. On the other hand I do not believe I have cracked the habit yet and I fully intend to keep the goal of cutting down in my focus for some time more so that I dont slip back. Looking back now I really dont like the person I used to be when I drank everyday and like FUAS I really enjoy the energy and healthy feelings of an AF day. I will be hitting my target for March for sure and then I need to think about what I want to acheive for April.

Budgie - Send me a pm with your birthday and I will make sure you get stars:D
UD - BSis will get back to you re the 10% lee way but I think you know the answer:rolleyes:
noy noy you were on 10 yesterday so is it 11 now :confused:I am very easily confuzzled:D
miss piggy sounds like a good decision re munchkin bet he is really happy to be with his mum more again

Looking forward to the apprentice tonight, I am a real lover of all the reality stuff but at least this one has some pretence of intelligence:rotfl:

Have a great Wednesday everyone x

ETA. 115K good to see you posting, hows things with you?
UD blimey good way of looking at it, I must admit I am amazed how cheap my supermarket shop is without a daily bottle of wine
