Another alcohol free weekend for me. Keep getting a bit emotional - angry, depressed, bored. At the minute its chocolate thats keeping me sane. Although I'm just wondering if I'm storing a whole other set of problems as my weight and body image is depressing me at the moment - which can lead to drink!!

Also, I've only had 3/4 days on the booze this month so think I should be up to 18/31

  • Hello Jo - sorry you're having problems with the Tax Credit folks - the system is a nightmare
I think I am entitled but really don't want to claim because everyone I know on the credits seems to have problems - good luck with getting sorted

Lurkio - well done to you and mrs Lurkio for your totals - must be very difficult when there are two of you trying to deal with the problem

I'm on 5 so far - naughty bench for Friday and yesterday - Saturday was my only AF day this weekend

Well done to everyone else who managed to last the whole weekend

    Morning all,

NTC, I notice you've notched me up to 20 but I've been on the naughty step since Saturday so I think I might still be on 19  I've lost count now, amazing what a couple of days drinking does to the brain, can't remember much today. It's also amazing how it sucks you straight back in..

Thanks Jo, I love this song and album and Radiohead in general - it never occured to me how we could apply the lyrics of this song to our situation. These words apply to me in many ways!

Hang in there Jo, you're doing well overall 19/23 AFD is still an excellent achievement! Take care my dear, will catch up later with everyone

I'm on 15 AFD I can confirm as was AF yesterday despite the wine bells tolling loudly when everyone went home at teatime. Managed not to give in just.

I have a friend stroppy who says that in life there is no such thing as failure only feedback to help us learn for the next attempt. I lost count of the number of times I tried to give up smoking but somehow I eventually got there and so will you  why not focus how many less you have smoked this month. Good luck for the next go:T
