    Evening all,

Apologies for not being about much, been mega busy at work and not been able to log on properly to post, plus I really gotta stop checking on here in the mornings before work, it makes me really late!! I've just queued to use the laptop, DS was playing games on the Ben 10 website, a treat for doing well at his spellings today and now I've got DD1 waiting to use it to do her facebooking!! Time for another laptop methinks

AF tonight, had quite a few pangs this evening. I'm out of danger zone which usually makes the cravings subside cos I know there's not much chance of getting drink ('cept them there 18 bottles of becks that are STILL in the kitchen  but I know I won't touch em..) but bells still a-clanging tonight, I thought this was meant to get better?? Keep forgeting to take the Kudzu but I didn't notice a difference anyways....

Hope everyone's well? I'll catch up with the personals in the morning when I've got more time, DD1 is huffing

    xx

Hi all- hope you are all OK tonight.

I'm going to buy some shares in Kudzu- aparently on the TV tonight alcohol related disease and problems are set to go through the roof so its about the only thing in a credit crunch that will increase in demand...

Noynoy- hope you are OK and not too stressed by not knowing if you are preggers or not...very young to go through a menopause, poor you, hugs.

Fay...know what you mean about Old Trafford centre type things...in Cornwall theres rumours that theres something like that in Bristol (Cribbs causeway I think its called) but us Cornish rarely take our passports and try and get over the bridge into Devon to have a look.

    Good luck this weekend everyone.

Hello everyone, sorry, sort of fell off the side of the thread (couldn't fall off wagon, never got on it). I probably give the impression I don't really care about stopping drinking, but I'm quietly despairing in the background here......:o

I've not been in work since Tuesday & that's where I do most of my posting :D - some leave to use up - have not been AF at all but feel good cos have spent the whole time working really hard outside (back to boat scraping! it goes back in the water in 2 weeks) & have mega re-organised house & garden so feeling pretty good & on top of things. AND went to 2nd tums & bums & no pain this time.

Full of good intentions for next week...as ever.

Fay your wardrobe sounds like mine - endless piles of wax jackets waterproofs wellies hats scarves gloves - reckon I coud kit out most of you on here! I have handbags & high heels too though....they kill me these days but one perseveres.

Hope you all have a great weekend x

Hello WB  knew you wouldn't be able to keep away :rotfl:

Had a complete nightmare this morning, all was fine till the postie turned up. I've changed my car insurance due to me having a 'disagreement' with the old company and now owe them £90 odd quid so have bought a policy from another company who this morning told me that they will cancel my policy if I don't give them my no claims bonus cert but old company won't give it to me unless I pay the £90 which I don't have. Also through the letter box this morning I got a letter from tax credits saying they have stopped paying me because THEY didn't ask me to update my details for 2007-2008 and so may or may not of been paying me too much/too little. Lovely letter, apologising and all that and saying if they owe me they'll pay me and if I owe them I won't have to pay them anything as it's their fault, but I was due to be paid on Monday and now I'm not getting it, hence the car insurance being cancelled and me not being able to get to work :(

Tax credit have sent me a million page booklet that I have to fill in with information that I can't remember/don't know from back in 2007 and have no idea where I'm gonna get it and I have to send that back to be re-assessed before they'll pay me anything (or not ).

Anyway, never mind just the car insurance, how the hell am I going to pay the childminder for this week and buy food for next week? I don't get paid till Wednesday week and was counting on Monday's tax credit payment to see me through :(:(:(

ETA: sorry for the ramble, you probably don't want to hear all my woes on a lovely sunny saturday!

ah the joys of tax credits...don't let the complex stuff knock you aside...sounds like a dreaded trigger to me....yep, the sun shines and I drink coffee and tea....

hope everyone's OK...if you're wavering, think of all the positive stuff that can happen when you're on track.
For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 2007

aaargh Jo what a nightmare. Do you have any idea if the tax credits you've been getting are roughly correct? If you're pretty sure that you won't owe tham money back, perhaps you could ring them & plead hardship? It's the truth! - explain the above & how reliant you are on the money - they shouldn't be able to just cut it off like that when you're dependent on the income. Can't advise re the insurance - I've had a long delay in the past getting no claims cert but wasn't threatened with a cancellation by the new insurer- again, might be worth a phone call....hope you get sorted mate.

On the up side, you can't afford to buy any beer :D;)

The letter says as it was their fault they didn't ask for my details last year, I will not have to pay back any overpayment...I shall keep a copy of the letter and send a copy with my new award claim too!! So I'm not worried about owing them money, with regards to being overpaid, I've no idea

I rung them and they say they can't do anything till they receive the paperwork, then if necessary they will back date it, which is great, but doesn't help me today, plus not go my mum anything for mothers day tomorrow yet

Definately can't afford beer, or dinner :(
