  • er what - ............can't hear you.

I do own a handbag - somewhere  and I do have two pairs of high heel shoes. (worn about 3 times each)

My passion is for socks, hats and wellies - I own several of those and scarves. :D Mostly stripey of course:D

I am on the mainland soon for shopping (and a course) in couple weeks, my poor eyes will be out on stalks.

Not been to proper shops since last summer (july) I will be so overwhelmed I probably won't buy anything.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

I've had another 5 AFD the past week. Not exactly sure how many I'm up to. Work is doing my head in today - might be some comfort food tonight as would be tempted by a drink but not going to go there.

I'm up to 14/19 NTC. Am away this weekend with hard drinking almost compulsory and going to a wedding abroad for 4 days next week, that's gonna be a real test. Am determined to get to my target of 20, will have to magic some days up from somewhere. Have a good weekend all!

    hsx

You can do it. You don't need to drink to have a good time
    Just remember that.

And remember how sad it sounds if you say "I need a drink to enjoy myself'
  • Hiya NTC - just to let you know I had an AF day yesterday so I am now on 4/31, my target is 13 so still another 9 to go

FayJmck - what happens if you get home with something and then need to take it back.

Hello everyone else - here's to a good weekend - I will probably succumb sometime - but not tonght (well that's the plan)

Um - I am only really shopping for food - or kids clothes so if I have to take something back I will either have to post it - or get OH to take it back when he comes to visit. I tend to err on the side of caution when shopping mostly.

  • I once bought a loaf of bread from the bakery counter at a supermarket.

The lass put it on the scales while she printed out the bar code ticket and I just put it in my wagon and trundled off round the shop

When I got through the checkout I thought it was a bit odd that my shopping was around £40 more than I had estimated for it! But paid up anyway and went home

The next day I put the loaf on the table to have for breakfast - OH remarked what an expensive loaf it was.
I checked the label and it said £43:eek:
I checked the receipt and there it was, I had paid £43 for a loaf of wholemeal - it was nice but not that nice

She had only weighed the loaf and sold it to me by weight instead of as a one off item (mind you, just what are they selling that costs £43 per kilo?)

I went scuttling back the next day and got my £42 refund

I generally check receipts nowadays, I am amazed at how often I have been overcharged and had to return stuff. Twice in one weekend for a total of £34 by one major retailer

I never seem to get undercharged:confused:

Haha oh dear that is funny in an annoying type of way Upsy Daisy, that is the type of thing that would happen to me.:p I never check receipts at all. Not that I am exactly rolling in money though so I probably should start.:o

I'm on the naughty bench tonight, I am about to have a couple of beers.

I was going to get some kudzu from Holland and Barrett today but I didn't in the end as I forgot. I wonder if this thread has sent sales of it through the roof.

    Hope you are all okay.:A
