Evening, just flying in briefly to say another AFD for me today and tonight making it 11/24 AFD.

All seems quiet tonight in the AF House tonight - all the housemates are celebrating St Patricks Day. How many are on the devil's bench? Do we need to shove up on the angels bench tonight?

Welcome aboard Upsy Daisy, nice to have you onboard! Are you joining the housemates in the AF House this month?

Tomorrow is another day Jo and Stroppy - dont beat yourselves up over it, you are both doing really well :T

I reckon I should hit double figures tomorrow, but might have a drink on Thursday [trying not to drink Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs any more] because hubby will be away over night on business and I just can't sleep when he isn't here  May need something to help me sleep, but will take it as it comes - if I can manage not to it will be a really big deal for me.

Lucky you Stroppy!!- for some of us 80 yrs will come around far far sooner!!!

Upsy daisy, welcome aboard, join the AFC if you feel like it, lurk if you don't, but stay and get some support and encouragement- we're a mixture of saints and sinners but whereever we are at in our personal journey we don't judge, we're just trying to get alcohol in perspective and try and manage it so its not in control of our lives, relationships and outlook. For some of us that means abstinance because we can't control it (thats me!!!) for others that means cutting down or moderating- whatever works. The reason I'm so fed up with Eastenders is that Danielle is Ronnies daughter, Ronnie thinks shes dead but Archie lied about it- but its been going on for weeks now and I just want the truth to be out!!!

Fluffy- so jealous about your weight loss it hurts!

    Happy St Patrick's Day everyone.

Just got in from boxercise so really pooped.

Firstly hi and welcome to: Upsy Daisy, I too used to love red wine, (too much if I'm honest). But since joining the af challenge I have managed to abstain. So good luck and keep posting, hugs xxxxx

Eselt I'm just watching Eastenders now and as you have probably read before the Ronnie/Danielle storyline is: DRIVING ME INSANE :j Archie finds out though on Friday (I think), that man is vile (yuck and then yuck again). So we will have to be driven mad together. Take care and hugs. xxxxx

Dear Jo don't dwell on not making your target, just look at how well you have done. So tomorrow is another day, just hop back on the waggon and carry on with your alcohol free journey. ((())) hugs and lots of love. xxxxx

Molly Polly hugs and I know what you mean about reporting in :-) You have done so well and nearly at your first birthday, so stay positive and keep up all your good work. You are always so supportive on here and it is appreciated. So love and hugs. xxxxx

Wbf and Fay, I hope this evening has gone well for you both? I can hear how determined you both are, so wishing you luck and lots of love.

Winebox I am saving you a place on the angels seat, hope all is well with you? Take care and hugs. xxxxx

Fedup hope the pain you are having is a little easier, well done on another af day. Hugs xxxxx

So BsNtc another af day for me so 17 please when you do the scores on the diary room doors. So hope you are having a good St Patricks day? Glad you are not nominating Dear Lurky and the lovely Esther for eviction ;) (sorry forgot we can't mention the N word :shhh:) Hope I haven't automaticaly put myself up now  If I send you extra hugs can I be forgiven? Please (((((())))))) xxxxxxxxxxx

So everyone else take care and here's hoping the Luck of the Irish stays with you.
    Nite Nite Budgie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Welcome Upsy-Daisy and congratulations on getting to page 100! No wonder you've not got time for Eastenders. I have enough problems keeping up with goings on here.

Did watch Holby and wine was flowing freely again (Thanks Donna!). Had a little wobble but took another Kudzu and ignored the clanging. Most of the time I am finding it OK on AF days but still embrace non-AF days gladly, hence my low targets.

Jo, think of every AF day as a bonus and you've got loads!!!! Don't beat yourself up but if you are disappointed then it will just spur you on to jump straight back on. If you had a good night with your Irish mates then enjoy the moment, think of it as a treat but just don't go back to drinking alone in the kitchen.

    7AF for me please ntc.

    Goodnight everyone, sleep well.
  • Just done the longest post in history and lost it:mad:

I just wanted to let you know a bit of my background - I've been drinking to excess since around 1994 - usually a bottle a night, largely because OH doesn't drink and it's a shame to leave such a tiny amount in the bottle isn't it?
The intake has been pretty stable until recently when I have been having a can of M&S Vodka and Tonic in the car on the way home from work.

My bells start ringing any time from 5.30, but on the very rare occasions when I have managed to get through that I usually falter once the kids go to bed. The danger period here lasts until 11.00 as there is a Tesco Express open until then, there's also an all night Sainsbury's petrol station a couple of miles away where I once bought a bottle about midnight but I've only used that once, I've usually given into tempatation long before then:rolleyes:

I would very much like to join you in the house if I may (and no one objects to a surprise new housemate) will I be exempt from nominations this week?

If I had to give a target for the month (whole) then it would be 13/31 - I've already had 3 AFD's but I will have a bit of a hard time at the end of the month when I am on a residential course - with free unlimited wine.

Hope there are no major headaches here tomorrow - I remember being partial to "guiness and black" in my teenage years
