btw those who like a hot choc as a treat skinny cow hot choc is rubbish lol ..it says make with water (perhaps why its healthier) but it tastes really watery ..so ive got another free sample(naturally) and will make with full fat milk tonight..thus rendering it useless and not so skinny

its fab look at the days pledged and what has been done almost half way there and almost half way through the month..i think we should get there or very close! well done ladels and jellyspoons

mollypolly well done you, less than 20 days to go to your year, wow

lurkio, at this rate I will make you both immune for eviction.....you are a fine example to us all;)

Glad to have enjoyed a AF day yesterday, I felt so larthargic all day which is probably a mix of very late nights and too much poison over the weekend. Never thought I would start to enjoy my AF days either.
    29th Feb Quit Day :j
  • Feeling Ok today - although I drank on Friday so I guess its that 'its almost out my system day' which scares me a bit.

FB - the drug they compared Kudzo too is a cumulative one but I couldn't work out if that meant that Kudzo had the same properties.

I hate scientific papers they technical up the words rather than use plain english which really annoys me. Will need to re read it again.

Jo how you finding these long evenings??

    Waves to all xx

    MP hugs and well done.

Hoping for day 14 today - I do feel a bit brighter this am but the sun is shining so its likely that will help!!

Finished Allen Carr's alcohol giving up book last night - wrote a reminder card to keep in the wallet with regards to DEVASTATION!! Was Alcohol Free yesterday and will be today so takes that up to 12 days.

Great without a hangover - so much more energy - even managed an early morning swim!!

St Patricks day today. I'm no Irishman but I was wondering what else to do other than my usual trick of neck a load of Jamesons:rotfl:

Hope everyone is having fun today. I'm going to be out in the sun this afternoon cleaning the car and doing a service on it.

Just tried googling 'Is Kudzu cumalative?' and got a scientific paper suggesting it could act like HRT! Next entry was Fluffy asking the question, so our thread is now world famous!! I'm just going to go with the if it helps then fine theory. Wonderful, uplifting, sunny day here. It is really lifting the gloom we were all feeling in AFJ and AFF. Enjoy the rest of your day all.
  • Hi - I have been lurking for some time and really do admire what you ALL are trying to achieve.
I will post some background later as I am about to go to the gym for an intro session - I am 45 and have never been to a gym before:eek:
I hit rock bottom on Saturday - glass of Baileys (promo at M and S) opened a bottle of wine at lunchtime, finished it around 4pm. Opened another and finished that around 9pm so I said I was just nipping out to the cashpoint and went to the pub and had a large glass of wine.
Drink aware says that's 23.95 units but their wine strength only goes up to 13% - the stuff I was drinking was 14%

I woke up on Sunday - no headachey hangover but feeling grim. I haven't had a drink since - hoping I don't for a while
I no longer smoke but I haven't stopped smoking - If I say I am never going to have a cigarette again I will feel deprived so I am hoping to take the same attitude to the booze

My favourite drink is any red wine with a screw top (faster to open)

I've really found some of the posts here very helpful and just wanted to say thank you to you all for sharing your stories, your ups and downs.

    Be back later
