    Hi all

6 AF days for me, which is rubbish. Have friend in town so been socialising during the week and drinking little and often.

Looking forward to getting back to AF Sun-Weds routine.
  • Hi ALL

also very jealous of Cornwall - almost the exact opposite of where i am.

Just read a couple of scientific journal articles on Kudzo - not that I understood much mind you. One of the perks of being a student free online access to billions of journals - don't all charge at once.............:)

I have downloaded a couple if anyone is interested in trying to dicipher them then please PM me.

Interesting if sketchy (on my part I am at best if you squint hard a plant biologist not a human one) reading, alot of research out there - all well mostly (the scientist in me can't say all cos I haven't read ALL of them) saying positive things.

Anyways _ ta E sorry if you were made sad by post - I'd be lying if I had said much else - don't stress yourself too much - my alcoholic father was much easier to think fond things of than to deal with a disinterested mother.

Oddly I haven't forgiven her - she's still just exactly the same its probably pretty sad really - for her ot have family she has nothing to do with - we speak maybe once a year? maybe less. Maybe its why I don't do 'apathy' very well, am 100% in everythig I do (even drinking lol- not my best trait).

Hi FB/GG and others - waving to you all.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Fay - the articles on kudzu sound really interesting. I did a lot of Googling and reading up about it as much as pos before starting on them.

Do the articles say anything about kudzu being cumulative at all? Just wondering if the longer you take them the build up helps even more.

Just trying to work out if I am getting out of the habit of drinking on a 'school night' :D  or it is just down to the kudzu
  • Fluffybishop Well done for reaching your target, I'm very impressed.

I have resisted, in spite of a bottle being opened by my OH, so quite pleased with myself. Although very tired tonight, not sure whether it's the unaccustomed exercise I've been taking the last few days or the lack of energy from the alcohol sugar.

Fingers crossed for a good night's sleep.

    Hi Guys,
I'm back...just been lurking and having some quiet time.Glad to see everyones ok.
Have had a lovely day today.DD2 was 34 today:eek: OMG.
Have spent the day with her doing some girly things then met up with DD2 and all went for a pub lunch.....and today it just felt 'normal' to ask for diet coke instead of wine.
Its taken nearly a year but I think I am now beginning to accept that I WILL NEVER DRINK AGAIN.....and it doesnt frighten me anymore.
    Hugs to you all
    Love Mollypollyxxxx

Just having my choccy before bed. I, too, was wondering about Kudzu. I didn't take any over the weekend when I was planning to drink but then I thought maybe it's cumulative. Anyone know?

    6AF for me please ntc.

    'night all.

Hi all- Fay and BB, I just sobbed and sobbed at your posts, its clear you have forgiven your parents and given your children all the love you can, but the fact that you still remember how a lonely childhood feels made me really think- I just hope my kids forgive my 3 yrs of drunkeness and can look back with some kind of affection.

Jo- looked at the Jade stuff, absolutely heartbreaking. Her little ones are so lovely, I'm not religious but I hope god takes care of those lads for her when shes gone- shes tried so hard to make sure they are looked after.

Spring is here in Cornwall- hurrah- feel better already. Hope everyone is OK.

I bet they will. You haven't drunk now for a few months, and before that it was a long long time.
We alcoholics find it extremely difficult to forgive ourselves, so we project that forward and think no-one else will ever forgive us.
