Evening (morning?) all, (can't believe I'm up at this unearthly hour!),
Just watched the programme on Living about Jade and I know a lot of people go on about the publicity thing and all that and I wasn't a Jade fan previously, but I have to thank her for showing me how precious our lives are (I've already posted this I know...), but watching her tonight and her close friends and family, particularly her boys, I can not believe how lucky I am to be alive and being given another chance at getting it right.
ETA: if you haven't seen the run up to the wedding and the wedding itself, it's repeated tomorrow on Living...I urge you to watch it.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Hi Jo
You are doing so well, can't believe you're awake this time of night!!
I've never been a fan of Jade but I don't think even her worst enemy could wish such a thing on such a young person. I've read some really sad stuff on here, including today, but hey we're all alive and kicking while poor Jade is fading fast. Let's get our priorities straight and live for the day!0 -
I've been toying with my answer, inititally and immediately I thought, I wish I hadn't picked up that first drink....but we all know that it wasn't the first drink that was the problem, it's the keeping on doing it to excess that has got me in the situation I'm in now....it was a progressional thing.
!
The first drink is always the problem. Without the first drink, I would never had the 2nd, 3rd, 1th, 21st etc

morning all
I've done 11 AFDs now!!
A side effect that I'm not sure is linked? I'm feeling really down and rather depressed, not linked to anything else - is this a side effect? Or just me lol!! I'm certainly thinking more clearly which is amazing. I'm loving this. I'm not saing I'm not going to have a drink, but the difference from not drinking regularly is stunning. Thank you so much to this thread, I wouldn't be this far without it.
Looking at the DFW aspect - I've not spent £55 at least which again is BRILLIANT!
Wishing you all a positive and wonderful sunny Sunday

I do totally agree with this, but what I meant was my very first alcoholic drink. There was every reason that I could've been a 'normal' social drinker back then, it's just now down the line I've spoilt myself and can't turn back. Now I'm at the stage where I can't have a first drink, but I don't believe my first ever drink was the problem.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
That is brilliant.:TLooking at the DFW aspect - I've not spent £55 at least which again is BRILLIANT!
Everyone is very thoughtful on here lately.
I do feel so sorry for Jade and her family, it seems so strange when she is still such a young girl. It does remind you that life can be so short.
Well anyway I hope that you are all having a nice Sunday whatever you are all up to. I'm not sure I will be AF today I will see you all later.:AHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Morning all - spring is sprung! Hope weather as good with you as here.
My one-thing-i-would change is trivial compared with what's been said on here, but that's me! I agreed with Sea & fedupski etc re not changing anything...I've done some dumb stuff but for the right reasons at the time, I wasn't to know how things would turn out ,& so I'd do them all again.
But the one issue that's blighted a great deal of my life is my weight! I was an obese child & a fat teenager, so unhappy formative years for different reasons to BB & Fay. I've spent years being very slim - even skinny! - but here I am again looking like a blob & I hate it; this issue destroys my self-esteem more than anything else. I 've got to shift it! Bit like the booze thing - why let it pile on again when I CAN keep it off?? So I'd try not to let my weight yoyo all the time.
oops, that went on a bit!! Have to go....see you tomorrow. Good luck masterchefs. NTC you're doing fantastic job with the scoring!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Morning All
NTC on 11 ta
Today - we have spent a couple hours moving wood around the garden to make a 'to chop pile' which was really good fun.
How sad does that sound? I like doing things when its us altogether and we ahve just got a peice of garden kit that doubles as a mini-tractor (sort of its a mower but you can put a trailer on the back of it we discovered yesterday) so lots of team stuff - like arguing who's turn it was to drive!!!
Just shovelled in the Kudzo to see if I can avoid any wine bells later on, tis a bit early but I will be out of the danger zone (able to buy the stuff) at 6pm so as I heard a tinkling I figured I had best stamp out those bells.
