I would like to join this challenge if it's not too late.
I don't usually drink too much but over the last 6mths have found this increasing from half a bottle of wine on Fri night to half on Fri and Sat then half on Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon. I found work increasingly difficult to cope with due to various factors and found myself coming home on Fri and having the first glass of wine before tea for the 'cocktail hour' along with my friend at work. We egged each other on because we were so fed up. Then my partner in crime at work left and on the leaving do I got in a terrible state, managed to get home safe and sound and then projectile vomited all the next day and felt the worse I have done for years. I thought it might have been a curry I ate for the meal out, but who am I kidding?
Then I drank a bottle of wine and fell over in the house not realising how it had affected me.
Then as I was catering for Christmas I bought 2 boxes of wine (12 bottles) from M+S on their 20% offer days. I have just cancelled the wine subscription which means no more will arrive and I have 12 bottles left.
I want a break from drinking and going back to my having a good time without drinking self that I was the last time I did this. I was always a partygoer when I was younger and the last one standing, not like that now and rarely go out. When I do I seem to revert to this attitude and I don't know why because I just want to be in control.
I went to the pub on NYE and had a pint and a half of lager and then went home to cook and nearly chopped the end of my finger off. Guess alcohol affects me greatly and quickly.
OH rarely drinks and only drinks a small amount ever which is great
If we are on 5 Jan leaves 26 days left - lets aim for 21 days for this month as AF. Does that sound ok?
What is an AFJ by the way?
I know I can break this pattern I have got myself into of ever increasing drinking days in to the week as 4/7 and over Christmas it has been 14/14.
Just needed to post to make it more real for me

Good luck with your journey I have found posting on here has given me so much momentum and motivation to keep to my committments and I know for a fact I would have fallen by now without the support so keep posting and good luck29th Feb Quit Day :j0
