I would like to say well done to: MollyPolly on your brilliant achievement of being a/f since April:T Can I please ask: is it any easier now or is it just as hard?
xxxxxx
Hi Budget Babe.I can say that Yes ...it does get much easier as time goes on but there are still some things that can trigger the craving...rubbish time at work, family stress etc but I now find it easier to distract myself, and have a soft drink or ...Tea & Toast.
I know one drink would lead to more so I just DONT DO IT.
With the help and support on this thread I now know that I wont drink again, because as I log on everyday I couldnt face telling you all that I had failed.
And my family would be just as disappointed in me.
My daughter told me at xmas how proud she is of me and knows she will Never see me drink again!!!!
(How could I let her down now)
Well done for AF day4.Enjoy your Vimto.

Im having a diet coke and watching the darts, managed to resist the wine aisle in tesco, so I'm safe now as the shops near me are all shut!
Im going to have an early night, the kids are back in school tomorrow so I'm up early. Im feeling really good tonight, had the odd pang for a glass of wine but know where near as bad as last night. How's everyone else doing?£100 - £10,0000 -
Well I have a major (for me) challenge approaching so looking for some support. I text one of my mates earlier and she is popping round for big brother at 9 in her words for a laugh and a vino. As I sent the text I realise that I probably knew this would happen and was unconsciously wanting to drink tonight (I am on wineboxes womo clause so i need company:rotfl: ) anyway once she sent that text back I got a bit annoyed with myself and after some thought have decided to open a bottle of wine for her (she will neck that easily) and claim to be on vodka and coke whilst actually being on diet coke:o
How stupid is this? For years I have hidden how much I am drinking and now today I am working out how to hide what I am not drinking:o
Its just that its been a good day today and it seems such a shame to wreck a potential afd so late at night.
anyway just letting you know my thinking because you are my support peeps
thanks xx29th Feb Quit Day :j0 -

For the lovely R A,
Thankyou so much that was so beautiful, I think everyone should click on and see it. (You may have guessed I am a bit of a sentimental one). You are a darling, THANKYOU.
To MollyPolly thankyou for your reply, I agree if I had to post on here that I had failed I would feel terrible, and yes how could you let your daughter down. I have been reading Graeme's posts on accepting responsibility, which I have taken onboard. Also I agree where are Lurky and Jo?
To Ntc I can only offer you my support but it is so late now to break your afd so please try and stay strong. Hugs
Miamoo well done on another afd, I too am off to bed soon first day back at work tomorrow, hope I don't get too stressed. (Graeme I will read your post before I go to bed, I promise)
Hugs to everyone, Take Care, I'll catch up tomorrow evening. I will think of you all though until then.
