I didn't feel much better after 3 AF days either so it must take longer than this to feel the benefits. I think it was about day 4 for me but obviously it depends how much you usually drink and if you are also eating healthily.

Has anybody ever used Kudzu?????? I only heard about it today and it doesn't look like it would help anyone who wants to stop altogether, but if you just want to cut down [I want to halve] it supposedly stops the cravings and in tests it does cut down consumption by half on average.

Well, I will try anything once :rotfl: so have bought myself some. Even if it is 'all in my head' if it works and helps me cut down I reckon it is worth a try.
I will start them today and report back in a weeks time  ;)

Just wondered if anybody else had tried them and how long they take to work

Obviously I am hoping for some positive feedback so it doesn't affect my 'positive mental attitude' towards them LOL!!!

Well done Jo- your body is now officially a temple..............

Mine too, unfortunately the one Harrison Ford was looking for :rotfl:

I'm late in today folks....not in work so therefore far busier than when I am.

Heading for an AFD today, at last. Did the "let's remove temptation" thing last night - needless to say down my neck not the sink, feel Ok-ish today (I think I've got so used to feeling below par it's now the norm; I feel sluggish all the time) No wine in the house now.
Good start to lent - pub lunch...diet coke! Went to Sainsburys for alch free wine, couldn't find it so had to ask, & the one & only one they do is on the shelf in the midst of all the normal wine! I'd never have found it. I bought it but having read the label am not looking forward to it sounds vile. Still not sure if I'm going to try & be AF at weekend.....my problem is that if I set that as an aim then fail, I chuck the whole thing in. Think for now (excuse me talking to myself here) will just try & stick to womo. Off to cook tea now!

Edit: forgot to say, while in Sains I gazed longingly at but resisted buying a bottle of......

    tippex.

And, while reading the label on the AF wine I was searching automatically for the alch strength.....duh

Been busy this week so haven't been around. Great to see all the activity on the thread, I've had to read about 5 pages just to keep up!! I've just printed off my calendar page for March and am going to sit with my diary later and come up with my target. It won't be huge as my birthday is in March. That's where I went wrong last year. I had a really BIG birthday and was wined and dined over a two week period. I planned to jump back on the wagon after but...:(

    Have a good evening everyone!

Why not try the link to the alcohol free site Eselt gave yesterday, some yummy looking stuff on there!

OH got paid today so we're getting pizza and taking advantage of the 50% off pizza hut delivery, then more pancakes!!!

I'm loving being alcohol free, only problem is I constantly feel like I'm at a loose end....keep find myself walking aimlessly round the house with no purpose
