    Morning all,

    MP, Fay, NTC

Miss P, sending you hugs for today, as NTC said I hope he's getting the help he needs and deserves, we are very lucky to have the support on here. Enjoy your lunch and hope your little one enjoys nursery :) I've found that the rows that me and DH could have are still possible but now I just walk away and say 'whatever' (which riles him :D:D), if I'd have been drinking I would be straight in there with retaliation!!

WBF, well done for last night, don't worry bout tomorrow till tomorrow.

WB, don't get me on the dreams, 5 days in and I'm still getting em! Can't remember last nights one at the moment.

Congrats to everyone that started lent sucessfully and good luck for the rest of it!

Felt like I'd been hit by a bus when I woke up this morning, soooo tired in the mornings since I quit the booze, don't know why that is and hoping the bright eyed and bushy tailed bit will start soon! Though definately feel more with it during the mornings now.

WB, please update me to 11/28 please :)

    xx

    Hiya - all

Jo the funniest thing has happenned - well its not funny really but its like your row thing - OH asked me last night if all between us was ok as I have essentially stopped ringing him really late at night (generally after a bottle of wine) with what ever mishap of my day has been magnified about 20x because of the winebrain I had on.

As he didn't know I was drinking before and therefore doesnt know I have kinda hopefully stopped - he's at a loss as to the change in my frantic needy phonecalls at odd hours, my constant paranoia etc etc etc

Wierd isn't it how we change our behaviour in one thing (ie drinking) and it has compounding effects in areas I wouldn't have even thought of.

He reckons I have changed over the past 3 months (whilst cutting down) and thought I had found someone else - because I wasn't constantly relying on him for reassurance, etc etc etc.

poor lamb - just told him I was sleeping earlier (true) and given up caffine (well have in the evenings so also true) so I wasn't so panicked about things.

It odd that he never really realised how much I was drinking, like others, keep it hidden pretty well.

Hugs to you all - hope I will make my target - was serioulsy thinking of giving up alcohol for lent - but dunno if i would stick to it .xxx

Is done, & good for you! Funnily enough I gave you a jumper this morning for hitting double figures despite no target then thought, now EVERYONE will want one (esp that Lurky who's already tried it on once ;) ).

Hi Fay - interested to read your post - shows how you're stronger without the wine....& also how the balance of the relationship is altered. He sounds as if he needs you to be needy iyswim - he'll have to get used to New Fay!

Well done on the last 3 months & noticing the change it has had on your behaviour! It sounds as though you have a caring OH, I expect because he was used to the late night phonecalls, and you being a certain way, and effectively thats all he's known, so when things change, you do wonder why and if the relationship is ok.

The late night phonecalls are one of the reasons I am giving up, except theyre not to my OH, but an ex, who officially thinks I am a stalker. Not a good look really is it??!!
