  • Got a stinking cold - so just had a very weak hot toddy. Going off to bed with my Eeyore hot water bottle.

So that makes it 9/11 for me WB.

Hi all- hope everyone is OK. It seems that even when people are not having AFD they are not drinking as much, which is brilliant (who needs Campral?).not

Yeah gotta agree Bis, when I was ill and my kids went to stay with their dad for a while, it was just the worst thing ever- there didn't seem to be any joy or hope in my house at all except when they visited- for all the stress and worry they cause I love em to bits and thankfully I think they may be getting somewhere close to forgiving me- thats what motivates me these days.

GP- still waiting for the meal plans!!!! I'm so impressed by your weight loss, and I wanna know how you did it, so I can be alcohol and fat free at the same time!!!

    Hi everyone,

Patchy sorry you are feeling unwell, hope you feel better soon. Love n hugs xxx

Dear Lurky, Thanks for the pic it made me smile :-) Hope you and Esther are ok? Sending you all hugs xxx

Winebox when you do scores please I am on 11 af days so far, intend to make the 28 for February. Thing is I don't trust myself to start drinking because I'm worried that I will go way overboard. So best not to start in the first place. Feeling pleased though that I am resisting, the old me wouldn't have done.

So all of you take care and look after yourselves,
    Big hugs BB xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Cherish the ones you love and travel back on the road that brings you home :)

  • 4/11 for me winebox

Had one beer and one large glass of wine tonight. Am just about to start watching the footie - at 9.03 pm! - sport is another trigger for me. Don't want anymore tonight though.

Snow seems to be going now but this morning was like driving on glass....very wet last night and froze hard. Some peeps were struggling to get up the hill out of the village...

Keep up the good work all :T

Same here - I don't trust myself with alcohol in my bloodstream. So why take that risk.

    7AF, please winebox.

sport is another trigger for me.

    TRC

I know what you mean TRC, I was trying to talk myself into having a drink tonight because of the footie. I tried really hard to convince myself that inviting David Beckham into my living room was other than a normal AF night in!

I wish I could say that it's getting easier but it really isn't. I'm still not sleeping well. I'm hugely envious of GP because despite walking and my AF days I don't feel much lighter. And I feel so disappointed (if that's the right word) when 6pm comes around and another sober evening looms ahead. It improves through the evening but I'm still missing that nice, relaxed feeling. Telling myself I've saved a bit of money and that the 'unit police' will be pleased with me just doesn't cut it somehow.

Not sure of my plans for tomorrow evening as I'm out with friends.

Sorry for rambling, well done all of you.

sorry to pick this out....it caught my eye....

what the "unit police" thinks is utterly irrelevant...it's what you think that matters...you're not doing this for anyone else but you (and your family)...it sounds like you're a bit annoyed that you're cutting back and you're still trying to work out what's in it for you.

I hope you settle on something good that will help you because it really does make a difference. The evenings are a bit longer when you're sober! I'd suggest doing something that you don't normally do to take your mind off other things!

    take care everyone....
