Morning all - it's a winter wonderland outside this morning - very pretty but I don't fancy going out too much!
Maman, perhaps it will take just a bit longer for your sleep patterns to settle - IIRC a few folk here said it took longer than they had expected for their boddy to get used to being AF.
I would also suggest doing something different than usual in the evenings to distract yourself from the fact that you're sober - I found it really effective when I was giving up smoking.
Another AF day here WB, thank you, so it's now 11. off out on Friday with DH so thinking we'll go to the cinema if I can find Slumdog Millionaire on in English.
Have a good day0 -
7 for me please winebox. Halfway to my target:j (well I will be at midday
Chin up maman, I do know what you mean but I reckon you would feel a lot worse if you had been drinking. Take yourself back to a few months ago, and the reasons you started your target, I bet you would have been really proud for what you are achieving today.:D
Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing29th Feb Quit Day :j0 -

Quite a few people we've not heard from for a while (not that I can talk) - you all OK out there?0 -
what the "unit police" thinks is utterly irrelevant...it's what you think that matters...you're not doing this for anyone else but you (and your family)...it sounds like you're a bit annoyed that you're cutting back and you're still trying to work out what's in it for you.
This is spot on Bis0 -

take care everyone....
Thanks for the caring responses, sorry if I went on a bit last night. I know I'm lucky because I've not been to any of the really dark places some of you have. OK, I've made a bit of a pr*t of myself occasionally and can't remember OH bringing me home but generally I used to sit and just quaff a bottle every evening and that had become the norm.
You're right Bis, I'm still trying to work out what's in it for me. Or rather, although I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, the superficial stuff (i.e. weightloss) is what motivates me most and because I'm not seeing results I was down last night.
But not any more!! Today's a new day, I am feeling supported by you lovely people, and I wasn't so down that I broke my promise to myself. Thanks all.0 -
Hi everyone
Winebox 10 for please!
Maman Hope you are feeling more positive today - some days can be awful can't they, and you do wonder why you are doing it. It IS worth it though!
Well, little boy is a bit better, Very happy and clingy to me today. However, when I dropped him off at nursery he sobbed his heart out. I was strong though....until I got halfway round sainsburys and called Nursery on my mobile to make sure he was ok:o . Needless to say, he was having a whale of a time.
Well, after my blip the other night I'm feeling much more positive. I think maybe I was feeling a bit....deprived...I suppose. Thinking all the good things are being taken away from me (I'm starting a diet too....don't ask!!). SO I decided that with some of the money I save on alcohol will go towards books from Amazon. When I was single I used to get loads of parcels of books delivered....I'm a real bookworm. Since having little boy I don't read half as much. So I've just had my first little parcel arrive...."Raising Boys" as suggested by the lovely Fay, "I can make you Thin" by Paul McKenna (anythings got to be worth a go lol!!) and a trashy murder novel. I was SUCH a happy bunny when it arrived this morning and am already planning coffee and a book before bed.
I suppose alcohol takes over your life to the extent you don't have time for anything else. It will be nice to get some of that time back and do something for ME other than getting completely blotto.
Sorry for the long ramble guys....hope you are all good!
Miss P
