Hi everyone,
Horrible day at work - lots of redundancies. Am ok, job safe for now at least, but the craving for a glass of wine was incredibly strong on the way home.
Managed to resist - knew if I bought any with the intention of just a glass, the bottle would be gone in no time.
Am on the coffee (and Green & Blacks white choc - a luxury!) so 5/9 AF for me please Winebox.

I will be 45 next month and met my husband when I was 17, what I was trying to say in my post yesterday was whilst we had the distraction of our son it was easier to gloss over things. Don't get me wrong my husband has been a fantastic father and our son is everything to both of us. However I am realising that sometimes in life you need to live your own life and do what is right for oneself.
Go for it BB - you deserve it . Time for yourself for a change
Best Wishes

Hi all- BB big hugs to you, and fantastic that in a time of real crisis you haven't reached for the bottle and sobbed into your drink- I think the thinking about a big life decision is often more stressful than when you have made a decision and the build up to that decision can often mean we hit the booze hard- I know from experience that brilliant dads are a wonderful thing, both my kids have great dads, but sometimes thats not enough and you have to call it a day. Best of luck whatever happens and take care.
Well done everyone, its 9/9 for me- feels great to know that at the moment the huge weight of seductive, nasty, manipulative, nightmare of booze is not a mokey on my back anymore- what a relief. But as Bis says, constant vigilence!!! Night all.0 -
evening all. Just been enjoying a large slice of lemon meringue pie  with a cup of coffee. Yum, yum and yum again.
3/9 for me Winebox. I need to put some good work in for a few days. The first part of Feb has just been socialising with friends. That rollercoaster was partly responsible for getting me where I am today in the first place. Anyway, this week is looking good so hopefully I can get back on track towards my target of 12/28.
For BHB:
Hear, hear is an expression used as a short repeated form of hear ye and hear him. It represents a listener's agreement with the point being made by a speaker. It is often incorrectly spelled "here here", especially on websites.
Glad I checked... I was gonna suggest that the correct version was here here
Patchy - did you win the lottery?
Its snowing here and the roads were already pretty tricky at 9.30 when I came in. Glad I brought my computer home from work tonight.

5AF for me please winebox.
An easy night for me as I've been out for most of it so only needed to resist for a couple of hours. Well done all of you that are keeping up the resistance despite intense provocation from work etc.
I'm halfway to my target already (:j ) but that's mainly because two 'drinking' events were postponed when we had last week's snow. So I'm building up credit for when they are rebooked! Hope everyone is OK.
BB Glad to hear that you are finding AF is helping you sort your head out.

Yes! Actually I did! A whole fiver on the Thunderball (determined not to let it change my life) .....now, a few months ago I would have bought a bottle of Pinot with that....but I got the kids some Haribo sweeties and me and hubby choccie!
I'll need to start attending that Slimming World place soon - the horror!
Have a good day everyone.
