Hi,

Just a quickie tonight as have got some work to do (boo!). Shared a bottle of red wine with a friend last night, which was fine although it had me wide awake at the crack of dawn this morning. Just can't seem to get a decent night's sleep if any alcohol is involved which makes me think it's really not worth it.

BB - admire your bravery, thinking of you.

Winebox - 4 days AF for me please.

Evening everyone

((hugs)) BB. So sorry to hear of your problems. Puts my day to day tribulations into perspective.

I resisted the urge to get a bottle of wine. Actually my OH resisted for me. I mentioned buying one and he said I'd done so well this week that I should keep going. What a lovely man. So here I am, first sober Sunday in a long time. Maybe I'll even remember what happens in "Wild At Heart" this week!

Finishing Allen Carr this evening so we'll see what effect that has.

hello lovely people...just wanted to update as only been on briefly of late...firstly am so proud of people!! Fab to see people keeping on trying day in day out...its a battle but the only time you loose is when you stop fighting!
Also wondering whether anyone has been to AA or tried online?
Re my own drinking have managed over the last year to give up drinking in the week (most weeks!!) and have not smoked since Feb last year which officially means I am a non smoker - a huge thing for me having smoked since the age of 9!!
Thinking of you all...you can do it..one day at a time!!

I go to AA once a week to remind myself of the deep black holes that I have been in.
One and a half hours a week is a small price to pay to retain my sanity.
