1 for me too!!! (pieces of eight...pieces of eight!!!!)
Bismarke I don't think I can even count the days I had to try and get myself to work whilst in the throws of a huge hangover. There's a mcdonalds on the way and I used to stop off for a breakfast and eat it at work whilst pretending to be fine. Nowadays I wonder about the alcohol content left in me whilst driving....thats what having a child does to you....
I'm with winebox....Sundays are a hard day. Saturdays are my wind down day and Sundays are my real day that I enjoy. Even though I have to get up earlyish Mondays! I used to start with a glass of wine whilst cooking the lunchtime roast. I'd be looking at the clock willing it to be 12 so I could crack open the bottle.
So I've resisted the urge to go and buy a bottle. Want to have a head start on february!
Was tough tonight though....neighbours on one side having (another) blazing row and neighbour on other side decided to start drilling and hammering at 8.30. Luckily it stopped 20 minutes later or I might have resorted to murder.....
Anyway....hope everyone had a good first day of February!

Evening,
Not AF for me today as mey an old friend and shared a bottle of wine over dinner. Paced myself though and drank loads of water so feeling ok although breaking my rule about being AF Sun-Weds. Going to compensate by being AF through to Friday this week.
To our volunteers for March and April scores on the doors keeping - a big thank you :T . I'm so excited to be in this with everyone for the long term and promise to do my bit with the scores later on.
BB - which Allan Carr have you ordered? I ordered 'Easy way to control alcohol' yesterday but there seem to be a few different books. Anyone have experience of which is best?

Evening to everyone, I am AF today so can WB put me down for 1/24
:j
I fancied a glass of wine at teatime and only stopped myself due to the high total I have set myself and the AFWOMO which I am not giving into this month. Last month I realised this had been my biggest trigger over the last year.
:AThanks to everyone for making me realise that I want to be AFWOMO!:D :A
Am looking forward to waking up with more energy this month than last month and taking it from there. Also improving my positive mental attitiude from its negtive stage of last month.

Hi everyone,
I have been released from Tax form duty at last.
Glasgowgirl..I read Allan Carrs 'No More Hangovers' It is only a little book. But it really hit home for me. I keep it at the side of my bed...and call it my little bible.I often pick it up and flip through it just to remind myself of why I am doing this.
Anyway....nearly had a MISHAP:eek: last night.Went out with DH and both DDs for a late Works Xmas DO:cool: .It was in a night club and as the night wore on and I watched everyone getting a bit tipsy and really having fun dancing I too wanted to feel that buzz that you get after just a couple of glasses of wine...I wasnt bothered about the alcohol as such...just wanted to feel ....released????Dont get me wrong I was still dancing but just not quite letting go.
Anyway..I didnt drink as I was driving and also had to be up early but if I hadnt had these reasons for NOT drinking I feel I might have just had a couple:eek:
I got quite upset at the thought that I will never feel like that again...I felt quite sad and even thought ...is it worth it...all the stress of not drinking....I really really want to be able to just drink socially.I feel like I am now too serious about life and need to lighten up.I never seem to laugh as much or dance as much ,or do ANYTHING;) as much now I am permenantly sober.
Ohhhhh sorry for the waffle when I should be encouraging you all.Everyone is doing so well and is really enthusiastic.
Sorry:o
Good luck to you all cutting down/giving up.
Take care
Love Mollypollyxxxx:happylove :happylove

Proud to be dealing with my debts at last :j0 -
Hiya everyone, I've just got back today from my mystery shopping meet up and it was brilliant! I had such a good time. On the friday night I had half a glass of wine (poured the rest away as I didn't fancy it and it was £5 a glass!) last night I had a couple of drinks and then had the most gorgeous hot choccy before bed!
I'm not going to join the feb challenge as I feel I've got my drinking back under controll now, but I will still post if thats ok x£100 - £10,0000 -
Call me nosey if you like, but I'm curious. Judging by the timing of posts, most people on here seem to go off to bed really early. Is this something you've always done or something you do to keep you AF?0
