I have been missing due to laptop playing up the last couple of days seems to be okay today to fingers crossed it has sorted itself out.
3 more AF days for me (fri/sun & today) had 2 glasses of wine (rather than 2 bottles) on sat night and really enjoyed them all but was determined not to have anymore.0 -

We shall rise to the challenge, we have the FORCE.
It is a shame that Mr Lurky has gone to the: Dark Side.
Fear not, Yellow Monkey will be here with his icon's soon enough.
Stay Strong until then.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU............

I shouldn't even be on this thread tonight as I'm not sober, but I'm not as bad as usual. I realised that when I started reading this thread last year that I was on an average of 5/7 days a week drinking alcohol so I have improved a lot I think.
It sounds like people are very positive today even with it being the worst day of the year.:AHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

God if that was the case I would never have started posting on this thread and be where I am now. Cause you can be on this thread 115 :T

Just popping in to say goodnight & Lurky (dearest, apparently...) pls could you update my score to 9 (it's changed at last, thank goodness).
I'm getting well lost with all these smilies which I don't recognise at all; what on earth is a dancing wookie? Or is it not on earth. "Lost In Space" anyone? It took me years to realise the little space creature was a chimp with a hat on, in fact my fiance had to break it to me so I was actually quite old by then & had been watching it for about 15 years. Oh the pain, the pain.
Edit - good on ya Jo! Did you count the number of drinks going down in Corrie? (as usual) maybe we shouldn't watch it after all.0 -

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to disagree with you Mr C. Personally, it became clear to me that I was drinking too much. Most of my friends are surprised by what I am doing. You might say that they are just being kind, or that they are in denial themselves maybe.
What I have said before is that I was developing a unhealthy relationship with alcohol, but I have realised this before it got too serious. I am taking a break to change my lifestyle and habits and I guess the perception my friends may or may not have about me and drinking. I hope then to return to where I was a few years ago, drinking socially and in moderation.

I probably mislead everyone. I should have said that if we all were drinking in moderation, then I am sure we wouldn't be on this thread.
I have no doubts that some people posting here CAN drink in moderation (like you Coach), but others like eselt and myself cannot. One drink is too many, one thousand drinks are not enough.
Part of me thinks if we could drink in moderation, why don't we?
Good luck people - you are all champs:T0
