    Hi guys,

Another one for me Lurkio please.

I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but I'm not finding it too difficult to stay AF. For me it's turning out to be more of a substitution thing. Where I'd normally sit and down a bottle of wine in the evening, its the D&B that cops for it instead. Has anyone found that it's the habit of drinking - and I mean drinking anything, not specifically booze - rather than the alcohol itself?

Ok, flack jacket and tin helmet on... fire away!

Im with you on this andraste. I am getting through loads of D&B Fiery GB vimto water with squash in tea coffee anything in fact. I do think its about having a drink at the side of me whatever that drink is and if I have that I do not feel the need for alcohol. I even have a full wine rack and lots of christmas stuff in the garage drinks fridge but I know I wont touch it once I have decided on a AF day. My stuck state weight wise would also suggest I am substituting food on my AF days which is a bit frustrating as I had hoped to see a motivating weight loss.

I have decided that for February I will be challenging my current need to drink like a silly person on my "allowed" days by setting two targets - an AF one and a maximum weekly units one (just giving winebox some extra work really:D )

We have lots of wine too. Plus some Port and some Kumquat based paint stripper from Corfu  :o

I don't yet know what February holds for my targets.... I shall see when I get there (or when I think of a suitably difficult range of targets for winebox :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Still going well. 18/19 for me! And a staggering drop on the scales this morning to 18 stone 4

Odd dreams have started, When I quit ciggs, I would dream that I'd be doing something, and I'd look down and see that I was halfway through smoking a cig. I'd throw it away in disgust and be really angry with myself that I'd let myself slip back onto them. Would even wake up in a bad mood.

It happened last night with the beer! Dreamed I was in the lakes and found my way to a massive, barn like pub. Ordered a bottle of Budweiser and I remember the barman charging me £6.05 for it and thinking 'bl**dy hell, thats a lot". Then drinking it all, before remembering that I'm giving it up, and kicking myself.

It wasn't a craving dream - I can honestly say I'm not missing beer yet at all. But weird how both habit's are playing out the same in my head.

    Hope everyone is well !!!

I might have lots of mini challenges within the big one :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Only kidding WB ;)

I would offer to do the 'register' but I can't be relied upon to keep on the wagon myself at the moment and feel I'm letting people down and not a very good example to others :o

    £6.05

    :confused::confused:

What a strange amount?! Must be something to do with posting on the MSE boards that you are now aware of the odd pence here and there :rotfl:

Very strange. I remember thinking I've got a couple of pound coins in my pocket, I hope I've got enough...and then hearing him say "six pounds five mate" and thinking "Urm....that sounded like six pounds five...hope I've got enough"

Turns out I did (just).. Odd how some dream details are blurry and others are vivid. Even remember picking out two £2 coins, 2 £1 coins and a 20p piece.

Well I wont be fully on wagon in March just the wagonette when its my turn and knowing our WB she will be having a few scoops with her OH at the weekends so not a prerequisite.

You have not let anybody down on here Jo in fact just the opposite. It is down to the kind support you offered me in my early days that I stuck this out and therefore missis without you I do not believe that I would be 12 days AF for January just the opposite I would be on my own version of the slippy slope. Far from letting me down you may well have saved my life - Wow:A :A

Keep trying Jo you will succeed I truly believe that:A

Wanders off to plan an excel worksheet full of February challenges:cool:  ;):D
