I've enjoyed re-discovering all the soft drinks that I used to love as a kid. Cloudy lemonade, lilt, and of course the wonderful dandelion and burdock. All diet versions, of course!

Don't get me started on D & B.........

:DNeigh, neigh, and thrice neigh :D
  • See now at least all your confessions are relatively normal. I had an addiction to bubble wrap popping at one time and because I have a business I could get huge rolls for really good prices:o :o Now why oh why cant I get addicted to water and celery:rolleyes: or maybe work

Winebox I am with you again;) (as does seem are a lot of us) in that I am doing really well with my AF days but I can see a different challenge with the control on the days I do drink. I think I need to change my thought process again on these days from "yeah its a drink day now what shall i have" to a more sensible approach involving that m word:D

and as for Dandelion and Burdock and my current favourite fiery ginger beer, my local tesco must be confused with the peak in sales (diet version) compared with the current dip in sales for soave:D

good luck for your 5 days jo and WB I may join you for 4 starting tomorrow:o

  • Hi all. Only had 2 drinks at the wedding on Saturday and was happy not to have any more. Also nothing at big family pub lunch on Sunday (my dad had to take the excess wine home from the pub, that would never have been necessary if I'd not been on the OJ). So am on 17 AFDs and am very confident will reach my target, I think I've broken the habit. Am drinking WAY too much tea tho', was awake from 3.30 this morning and I'm sure that's to blame.
If you guys can do moderation AND STICK TO IT, then you are doing well, and have no need to give up drinking entirely. :T
However, if we could drink in moderation, we wouldn't be posting on this thread !

GC I may be incorrectly projecting from what you've said, but I read this as: if those of us who are cutting down rather than out succeed in moderation, we will no longer need or want to post on this thread. I guess only time will tell if that turns out to be true. For myself, I hope so cos it means I will be free... hs
    ...nothing to see here...

Well done HS on the 17 days,:T have you tried decaff tea? I have mine so weak you wouldnt know there was anything in it but I believe tea has as much if not more caffeine than instant coffee.

I will be posting after January for sure (if thats ok:o )because quite simply I like the people on here and it makes good health sense to me to keep this cutting down going. I wont be back to my 2008 consumption by Feb 1st  but for a while I think I need some hand holding whilst i find my feet in this moderate world I am entering:cool: Bubble wrap anyone:D
