Tonight I have succumbed to ...lime cordial & fizzy water (I'm blaming you Grey Pilgrim).
Whenever I run out at work, I trundle off down to Asda at lunchtime and buy more. I'll grab two of the big packs (the packs with 4 x 2ltr bottles in them).
Getting them back to work is the equivalent of a ten minute walk with two 8kg dumbells. Money saving, alcohol free, calorie burning and rehydrating. It's a win win situation from start to finish really.0 -
Thanks for the congratulations folks although I feel like carp today after drinking a bottle of wine last night and one can of lager. My head is splitting and I feel like praying to the porcelain God.:o

Its quiet on here tonight! I bought myself a bottle of wine before, I thought I might have a glass, not for any particular reason! But I've decided not to, its not the weekend and thats my main target really not drinking in the week.
So its in the fridge.
Patchoulli how are you doing?
Hi - thanks for asking! I managed to stick to the alcohol free Becks last night, but really craving a glass of wine right now. Another cr*p day, and I just wonder what's the point in all this resisting at the mo. (Sorry, feeling sorry for myself).
Hope you're doing ok.

Hi all
Busy here this am - 10 for me please - OH coming tonight, whislt he's not a heavy drinker he does drink a bit - to be honest dreading it, I get so nervous when folk come up, first thing I do is open/buy/drink some wine. To be honest in the 6 years I have known him, I don't think I have spent a sober night with him - god that sounds terrible - I don't seem to find a balance.
Sorry for the rambles x
I know that feeling well....the bit about not spending a sober evening together. It was a bit of a revelation a while back when i had sex sober for the first time in years........and very nice it was too.;)LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -

Hi all- perky and chipper eselt checking in.
15/16 for me please lurkio. Hope everyone is OK- hold your nerve tonight and good luck.
Lurkio- school trip sounds facinating- I remember when we went on a school trip to amsterdam and went round anne franks house and the museum there- really bought it all home, the whole class were really depressed for the whole day and very quiet, but I'm glad we went.
Catch you all later.0 -
Yes, biscotte, that's right. Not sure he'll appreciate the full impact of events, maybe I should be thankful of that..... not sure I could do it myself.....
Along similar lines, there is a Holocaust exhibition on one floor of the Imperial War Museum... Adults only   wouldn't go there, would be far too upsetting.
Took my kids a while ago and both really freaked, they said it was all the shoes that were left behind that made it real ( isn't it funny what kids relate to), but on the other hand they learnt so much and are much more intrested in why these terrible things happen and not so much in the 'war' aspect.0 -
Ok on the AF front am being totally crap, saw a freiend last night and ended up have in half a lager, so not a huge amount but still alcohol.
The weekend also looks bleak, am off to a party in a bit within walking distance, so temptation will be all around.....tomorrow and Sunday are not much better, family meals, birthdays etc aaaaaaaaaaaah but will try and be strong!
eselt glad we have the cheeky perky you back

Hi Guys,
Hope you are all ok?
I have been feeling really tired and lethargic today, did wonder whether to have a glass of wine but I haven't. Thats why I don't keep any in the house if I did I might have given in. Like Miamoo I don't want to give up altogether just manage what I drink without the crazy button kicking in.
So dear Lurky please put me down for 16 afd, hope Ds is ok on his trip, don't go missing him too much. Hugs xxx

Patchoulli - try thinking of Friday as a 'double points' day. Its got to be the hardest day in the week to stay alcohol free.
