  • Hello all. I don't post much these days but still look in on you all, there's so many now!! Just wanted to say that I'm so pleased to see eselt back and ok. Eselt, you've helped me a lot in the past (even when I've just been reading rather than posting) so I'm really pleased you're back and ok. I don't think you've relapsed at all, just had a lapse and I'm certain you'll be fine now.
Well done to all you guys anyway, great stories of success on here currently.

    Hi Guys,

Checking in late tonight again, its been a horrible day, the usual crappy day at work, miserable boss and ungrateful people. Hey ho, really felt like a glass of red wine tonight but instead I went to my Yoga class, didn't feel like it at the time because its cold, raining and I was: hungry, angry and tired. Gc halt theory.
Glad I did though, so dearest Lurky when you update the list tomorrow would you please put me down for 15 af/d. Hope you are well? Hugs xxx

Winebox hope you are ok sweetheart, thinking of you and sending you a big hug. xxx
Grey P, 115k well done on the weight loss, it always gives you a boost when you start to see results. Hugs xxx
Andraste welcome aboard, sorry meant to say that last night but got overcome as Eselt came back. Hugs xxx
Patchoulli, hope you are ok, I too felt like giving in but managed to resist. Hugs xxx
Eselt really glad you are back, Hugs xxx

To everyone else well done and all of you TAKE CARE, I'm off to bed now as its late, but at least no wine, Miamoo keep it in the fridge Hugs xxx

    Hugs to you all xxxxxx

we are starting to feel slightly healthier and now the stress comes, the weather is still yuck and dark, kids back at school, daily grind, bills mounting......and what harm could a glass of "calm" do? only the one eh? ..but then we all know it would be one tonight, two tomorrow, three or four on sat and back to square one.

so true, life goes on with or without alcohol, and there are still bills to pay, angry bosses, bad weather days etc..
    As you say, daily grind.
I know one thing though - none of it gets easier if I pick up a drink. It usually gets worse.
I can go to bed in the knowledge that tomorrow is a new day, that I have done the best possible today, and I didn't have a drink today. That is a great feeling.
If I do pick up, I go to bed drunk, feel !!!! tomorrow, feel shame & anger on top of all the stresses and strains that life throws at us daily.
Good luck people, half way through the month, and while some of you are not going to make your targets of 31 AF days, you can still get 50%. Go for it. :T
  • Eselt.

    Please don't beat yourself up.

Tonight I have succumbed to ...lime cordial & fizzy water (I'm blaming you Grey Pilgrim). At this rate I'll be on the Vimto and dandelion & burdock soon! But I'm fighting a bit of lard as well so don't want the calories. Munchies only 4 Pringles tonight and the (low cal) hot choc I've just made.

As you all know I'm one of the few 'cutting down' people on here, so tomorrow I jump off the wagon for the weekend. But tonight I'm AF so put me down for 7 Lurkio please. Thanks all.
