  • I have decided to take this more seriously this year and am more determined that ever to get things cleared. I am going to open another e savings account attached to my bank account and every day round the balance down to the nearest pound, so if have £129.99 I will transfer the 99p . Sounds silly but means I will keep transferring the money every day and the less I have in my account the less I will tempted to take out. Also if I go under my weekly spend etc I shall put the left over money onto my payment a day. I am setting myself an aim of £25 this month and hope to hit it. Then at the end of the month I will make the payment towards my mortgage arrears. Got to get this cleared some how and need to be stronger with myself.

Still nothing for me - grrr. My little black box of pennies has quite a lot in it, though the pounds did get raided for my parking a few days ago, but DS2 was sick in the night and is currently still looking peaky so we're all under house arrest. They don't go back to school til Wednesday - poor frasersmum, I did that last year!:o

Ref. the London suggestions, I used to live there and now my friends treat me like some kind of walking guide book. I don't mind - knowledge is free. Sometimes when you live in a place you just get bogged down doing all the usual stuff and forget about the possibilities so its good to get suggestions I find.

OK off to do some work - that card is gone by the end of Feb and the scary one is lurking but I am going to do damage to it.

Haven't managed to weigh myself yet as the new battery appears to be not working so I'll have to faff about with the scales later. I will publish my amount of LBs to be lost but I'm not putting the actual weight on here:o

hi all back in work and back to serious money stuff.

Have been lapse over the last month after a period of flu and then the holidays i was not really keeoing up with things hence i have not cleared my credit card by the end of 2008 as i had hoped, funily the money that i would have used is not in my account either . Isn't it strange how you manage without it when you have to but always manage to spend it when it is looking at you in your account.

Anyway monthly payment was due today 0f £5.00 so i paid £15 and hope to clear the rest of this one this month.

less than a hundred pound so should be doable and can start on my next one in february

  • Hi All

'Pocket money' day today for me - £10 - so planning to have as many NSDs/LSDs as possible this week so that I can transfer whatever's left to Egg on Sunday.

Bonus today tho - have £1.51 left in my purse, plus found 32p in OH's pocket, so transferring this to Egg today.

    Total PAD today = £1.83.
