Hi there,
OK, you've inspired me
I've been following this for a while and paying off little bits so I'm going to start posting on here too (if you'll have me!).
Today was a direct debit day so I've actually paid £213.44  not sure I'll manage that much every day :rotfl:
Anyway, this brings my PAD total since I started (Nov 28 2008) to £580.09I've been including my minimum payments in that too, but not bad I think .

well Christmas was rubbish on the PAD front, extra out goings and pay day wasn't until the 31st.... however, my wages never reached my account (due to the transfer only being actioned on the 30th), I'd even done 4 extra days in December as well!
I ended up being nearly £300 overdrawn as of yesterday - most of my major DD come out at the beginning of the month. Luckily I have a fee free over draft (I think it's interest free as well) so I was ok. Wages hit my account today, kind of good as I haven't spent anything the last 5 days, so everything is now back to square one.
I got and extra £170 in my wages for the extra days I worked..... So my question to you all is should I add that £170 to my PAD savings pot to pay off my credit card? If I do I will be able to pay off the one in my signature.. and move on to the other CC which has a larger balance.... however at the moment both CC are interest free... so I'm tempted to just keep the money in the e-savings account to try and earn a bit extra in interest what do you think?
Add the £170 and pay off the card in my signature, starting afresh with the new card?
Add the two cards together for a new total and add the £170 to the PAD savings keeping it all in the account earning interest until the 0% on the cards runs out?
what do you think?Trying to make a better life.... If you need me you'll find me at the allotment.0 -
ooo dont know what the official response would be but i would pay off one of my debts if I could .... the joy of getting rid of one of them for ever more ould be fantastic even if they are on 0%. Saving rates arent that great anyway! But thats just me ..... bit anal when it comes to getting things off a list!! ha ha ha0

Ahh, bless you. You can do it, with all the support on here, we can do anything!!!! xxxCompetition wins in 2009 - Nothing so far0 -
Evening everyone
Just a tiny 52p PAD for me today, change from having to buy some soothers for sore throat which is driving me mad!
Harib0uk - I'd be tempted to throw the money at a debt just to get rid of it but can see the logic in the savings account while the cards are 0%. Even if you just get a few pounds from the interest it'll go towards the debt-busting

Didn't want to read and run - Paybacktime - we're all here for you. Naughtynat's right. We are proving everyday on this thread that we can do things we didn't think we would do. You go for it!!!:T
Hi to all the newcomers and ex lurkers :rotfl: It's great to see you all joining this fab thread. I would be one to pay off a debt. I find it encouraging to see my list deplete. I know whenever i have a sum of money aside for something, something else crops up and it gets eaten up. I totally understand your view re putting it in savings....
...mmm not much help am i :rotfl: sorry
Night everyone. Sleep tight don't let the bugs bite xxxOne step at a time0 -
total PAD today = £30.39
I am getting really excited seeing my balance go down every day when I update my spreadsheet. Payments will slow down soon though cos at moment am paying my quidco money, ebay etc as PAD.
keep up the good work everyone0
