Dear Lord, that looks stunning....makes my Options Hot Choccie look rather dull now!!!
On the washign machine front, it looks like it is the circuit board that has broken in my machine! I am sooooo cross though as the machine is not even 2 years old yet!!! xxxCompetition wins in 2009 - Nothing so far0 -
hope we are all well tonight!
well, it snowed again, melted again & we're back where we started...
PAD today is 1.05 and another no spend day
had some really good news today. DH had the "last of the big bonuses" from work (they have now changed the bonus plan and the new one is pants...) - he wants to just double check the amount as has never had one so substantial...but if the figures he showed me are right, we'll be able to pay back the boys and add a good chunk to the "what if" account. :T we did whisper the words "garage conversion!" but to be honest, i don't want to spend it, i want to save it. never though i'd hear myself say that!
if it all happens as we think it will, this will mean i can overpay the mortgage by 230 instead of 100 per month. my heart nearly broke today when interest rates went down AGAIN (selfish, i know - but we are fixed at 5.44% for another 3 years!!!!). so i rang the nice man at london & country (as recommended by martin...) and he made me feel a bit better - although we obviously could get a better rate than the one we are on, it's not so much better that it would be worth it to pay the penalty fee to end our fix early. so - hey ho. onwards...
have a lovely night to all. hugs to anyone down, and well done to anyone on the up! :A
xxMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

Hello everybody, I'm new to this thread but have been making PAD's since the start of the month so thought I's join in - also Flying Friesian indoctrinated me :-)
This will probably mess with your totals but as an update I have paid off 98.93 so far this month - todays part of that was (guessing I have to do this?)
£2.76
but for the life of me I can't remember who I paid it to?Ah well, someone got paid... Hmm prefer Arial to verdana think I shall stick with this font.
You are all doing fantastically well with your payments I will aspire to those levels but am being tight this month due to unforseen circumstances - at least the snow this week has saved me a bit of petrol
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

Bank of England cut the rate to 1% :j :j
One of the (few) good things about working for a large bank, is that my mortgage is a base rate mortgage, so my interest rate will be 1% :j My payments have gone down by almost £80 per month even before this cut, so I will have yet more money to put towards my debts.
I saw someone on the BBC news earlier who owns a restaurant saying that he had noticed business increasing since the rate cuts - not from the people of PAD I assume :rotfl: I still budget the same amount as always for the mortgage payment, and when it's less I transfer the difference to one of my other debts.
If I get made redundant I'm b*ggered though as my staff mortgage will be taken off me...*crosses fingers this doesn't happen*0 -

That's so bad your washing machine's gone kaput! Grr. Is it still under warranty and maybe get a shiny new one?

Old age is catching up with me keep forgetting how much I have paid so I have had to log on to internet banking again, so before I forget it is
£15.35 to Halifax CC. Also my minimum payment to Mint went out today and if I have calculated correctly that is the end of Mint (unless I can get them to offer me a nice LOB rate ) still waiting to hear from Barclaycard with regard to my disputed interest but in effect that is clear too so 2 more down 7:eek: to go.
Going to do so number crunching in view of today's interest rate cut.
