Ive heard of a box of balloons.....be good for the two little ones. Just find the biggest cardboard box you can and fill it with blown up balloons! bingo! How about a baby sitting 'voucher' for your sister in law. If your niece lives close give her a 'voucher' for a baking session with aunty...then make fairy cakes with lots of sweets to decorate...messy good fun and better than a bit of plastic.LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0

Hi Folks
£134.28 for my PAD today.
Paid the hotel bill for a wedding we are going to in August on my M&S and it was on the transactions page on the internet when I looked today so paid that off before it accrues any interest:D So nice to actually use the cc responsibly and have some money to pay it off as soon as it hits the card plus some interest I had accrued last month so that card is still clear - wayhay.
Also paid a £1 to my PAD account and when I looked there was £105 in there so I paid that off my tesco cc. I'm nearly at the £400 mark on that one, which is great cause it started off at £701.54 when I started this challenge in November and the minimum payments were only £21. I would never have cleared that much if it hadn't been for this thread.:T
However in saying that my asda cc is ending its 0% on 18th March and will be 22.32% interest:eek: and my tesco one is 16.9% so I am going to concentrate on getting rid of the asda one and then back to tesco - the cc hokey kokey!!!! So will temporarily change my signature to reflect my new plan of attack.
Fag ash lil - I am in Central Scotland. The snow is melting but there was another flurry of snow when I was picking the little one up from Nursery lol.0 -

I wonder if our interest will go up too? I keep checking my email and post, but nothing so far. Fingers crossed it stays the same! (I've long since given up hoping that it will go down!!) xx0 -

Hi again
My ickle brain must be working overtime today
As the kids haven't been in school most of the week, I have a saving on my 'Dinner Money' budget, so decided to pay an extra £15.05 PAD to Egg before the money disappears into the bottomless pit of the current account!
It's taken me all week to work that one out he he!!:rotfl:

£5.05 PAD today
Resisting the urge to go to the shop and buy an expensive sandwich. Going to have a coffee and eat when I get home. Planning to leave soon because of the snow, so it will not be long.
And the £10.00 standing order came out of my account too! So £15.05 towards the kitchen.
Bank of England cut the rate to 1% :j :jI want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100 -
Hi everyone!
The snow finally arrived here in N. Ireland, though sadly not enough to justify staying at home. Fingers crossed for more tonight; would LOVE a day in bed!!
Congratulations to all those who have managed to clear a card or other debt this month, and also to those who, like Weebag, are well on target for getting one cleared this month :T:T I love that feeling.
I used to have an Egg card, I was one of those thousands they closed accounts on. Thankfully, I was able to get it cleared very quickly after the announcement, thanks to an unexpected windfall! I've had my A&L card hike their interest rates again - twice in about 6 months, and of course Crapital one did the same recently. It's pretty hard to keep on top of all the changes, especially when you're trying to snowball!
Flower '08 - I hope you're having a better day today than yesterday.
I haven't made my PAD today yet. I'm going to set up a PAD account today when I get home, make my daily payments into it and then once a month clear it out. I'm finding it too much of a bother to make a payment any other way! I need it to work for me, or I'll get fed up and stop! I don't want to do that, as I'm very aware that I've made extra payments of >£30 since starting this about a fortnight ago; I wouldn't have otherwise. This brings the credit card I'm currently tackling down below £400.
Does a successful reclaim of credit card charges fall into the category of PAD?! If so, it's £396!Credit Card Debt at LBM (Jan 08): £14981; Debt now (March 2010): £9912
