thevinternet wrote: »I searched on quidco for 'scratchcards' and couldn't find any deals worth getting - only ones where you have to deposit a lot of money first. Are there supposed to be some free deals or something? xx
I have checked, the deal that I used was for virgin but it has changed I only had to deposit £10 and got £20 cashback so was guaranteed to be at least £10 up. With this deal you won't lose but you would have to win something with your £20 to gain. Still worth it for the scratchcards though because you get minimum 10p each day double on Sunday and a pound to log in on Friday so soon mounts up and you may win more. Just remember to keep at least 10p in the account so that you can continue to scratch.

Egg warned me too that my interest rate is going up. I feel sorry for everryone they are doing this to. It won't have much effect on me personally but I think they are just greedy barstewards.
I say it won't affect me much because I've got about 9 grand outstanding with them on a 6.9% LOB deal. However, there is about £20 trapped at the sharp end of my balance due to a bit of leftover interest when I made the BT. I wasn't aware of it at the time because it didn't show up on the statement until afterwards.0 -
Books make fab presents. When you've a bit more time try The Book People. They have loads of books which work out a £1 each or less. P&P is free if you spend £25 and theres Quidco too.
i agree - book people is (are?) fab! they very often have free postage codes knocking about as well (ie no minimum spend), do a forum search and see what pops up...Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

Hello all and thanks for you messages over the last gew days - sorry ive been away for too long and only posted short messages!!
LOADS of snow last night, and decided not to make to 90 mile journey to work today - working from home instead.
Chuffed at another 0.5% off the interest rates - it has made a hell of a difference to me over the last few months.
Paid another £10.00 to Barclaycard today - down to £30.71!
Am likely to be under £21,000 this month! Last payment on A&L loan is due on 1st March. HOORAY!
I currently have £8500 on a 12.2% card (highest rate im paying), so im hoping that when I have shut a few cards I may be able to apply for a lower LOB card - that would be nice.
Good luck to all and enjoy the snow!
