Does it say that it has a casino or golf course as the Wynn has both, I am guessing that as it is listed as Condo that it is not Wynn but more likley Trump though Trump is a bot far north to be described as Central Steip (though I would say the same for Wynn as well)

Map shows it being right next to the golf course.

the map is of the general area - not of the specific hotel...otherwise they would be defeating their purpose of not naming the hotels. :)

Stoneman has given the best advice - if there is no casino, it's Trump.

Any suggestions for a good car for four people and luggage -

Maybe have a look here to get an idea what they say about number of people and number of bags.

    http://www.dollar.com/Cars/FindACar.aspx

I only chose Dollar because I know they have the people/bags icons shown.

I suppose it really depends on how many bags for 4 people...I know many people who can go for a week with a carry-on sized bag (not me).

Like the Jeep Liberty shows 5 people but only 2 cases...so...I suppose 2 cases might fit in the space for the 5th person, but wouldn't count on it. :)

Sorry, meant to say that my way of finding out is with priceline. Hotwire does not give as many details away as priceline, and they only mention central strip, where priceline narrows it down to north strip.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    if I remember right,

Doesn't the Trump charge you a $16 a day 'resort charge'

So factor that in your costs!

(Not sure if it is still hidden or if they have now added it in (Check small print!)

Is this the begining of the end!!
Mandaly Bay have announced that they no longer are going to comp drinks at the VP bartops. Also found out that Encore do not comp either, same as Wynn, but then again the drinks service at the 2 latter on the floor is very good.
    Never liked MB anyway.

Do they have particularly good paytables at these places? Just thinking if they do, maybe it's their way of discouraging advantage players or something?

I've never played bartop VP, but it always seems like it would be a nice relaxing way to spend some time and have a few drinks on the casino's dime...shame if I never get the chance to try it!

I have no idea what I am meant to do at VP but we played at the bar in Tahoe and drank for about 6 hours and the joint loss was around $6 :-)) as has been said the floor service at Wynn and Encore is very very good

No they don't. In fact. it is well known that bartop VP has worse paytables than the ones on the floor, so they already increase their advantage for letting you get comped drinks faster

Hi all, the planning continues.... :)

Is Carhire3000 the best / cheapest place to hire a car from?

Am I right in thinking that the price we see on their website is the price we pay, no hidden extras at all?

We want to collect in Vegas for about four days for a trip to LA and then back to LV to drop off.

Any suggestions for a good car for four people and luggage - I fancy the dodge charger but 26 mpg isn't great.... would love a convertible but taken advice on here about sandpits in cars.... Jeep Liberty is an option (no off roading, honest :) )

Think the Chevvy Aveo may be to small? Chevvy Cobalt anyone? or the Pontiac G6....?

I am using carhire3000 in march (3rd time) I have booked a charger or equivalent which if memory serves includes the dodge magnum which is an estate so loads of room for luggage plus 4.

I had a charger last year and the boot took our 3 large cases and then it was full. we had a chrysler300 the year before and the boot was smaller on that.

Some of the smaller SUV have an even smaller boot than the charger.

I always go for the premium pacakage to include a full tank and extra drivers and the price on screen is the price you pay.

They dont carge for cancellations if you pay the whole amount upfront, but you lose your deposit if you have only paid a deposit and then cancel. They also gtee to beat anyone elses quote so you cant go wrong.

I booked about a month ago . I checked a couple of days ago to find it had gone down by £10. I used their freefone number to call them and they are refunding me £10.
