Just a quick note to say that my favourite band, The Killers, will be playing The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel on Friday 17th April. For those of you who don't know Vegas is their home town.
Anyone lucky enough to be in Vegas at the time may want to check it out as it will be a great show. Presale tickets so on sale through www.ticketmaster.com site tomorrow at 10:00PST although I'm not sure if there are any restrictions on the presale.
The public sale is Sat 24th at 12:00PST.
Personally I'm gutted as I'm in Vegas in March but I'm lucky enough to have tickets to see them in Glasgow 5 days before I go to Vegas.
7 weeks until Vegas :T
They played the outdoor summer stage at Hard Rock when we were there in 2007. While they were big in the UK back in 2007 they were still pretty unknown in the USA, even in their home town, and there were tickets available right up until the last couple of days.
Compare that with this years sell out tour!0 -

Really depends on the show...any thoughts?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Try puttung in that your location is the U.S.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

You will not be able to get O tickets at a booth, what we usually do is pick one show we really want to see and book that before we leave home and usually have to pay full whack for it, we then go to the booths on the days we haeva free night if we wish to see a show and see what they have. If you want to see a top show that is not available at Goldstar and you absoloutly have to see it you need to book before you leave home. Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -

Firstly, many thanks for everyone who has posted. I've read every post and it has given me loads of great background info!
Me and a group of mates have booked for Vegas in June (I know, hot!) on expedia at the Riviera for 7 nights (£200), flying from Gatwick on Virgin (£280) for £480 total. We basically booked it cos it looked a decent price.
Just wondered, from that area, which would be the best way of gettign about for a a group of fellas, about 8 at the mo, though growing by the day! I've looked at cars but I dont think we'll get the use oout of them. Is the bus/tram reliable enough? Or would taxis just be as easy? Avg cost from there to the middle of strip?
We'll also obviously be hitting the casinos but reading the posts there isn't may tips as to which is best.
The things I was most wondering about were the clubs and stripclubs! I've read that clubs can be a nightamre to get into, especially for groups of guys, for queues etc. Any tips? I've seen clubs tours etc but they look like a bit of a scam to me. Any experiences? What are the dress codes like? Are there many suits knocking about?
as for stripclubs, any experiences?! Don't want to get ripped of like you can in Prague/eastern europe etc. Where are the best areas? Where to avoid?
Many thanks in advance for your replies!
I always get a car some people dont but I always do I dont like waiting for the bus, the monorail is always a hell fo a walk from the station to the casino and taxis start to work out expensive and at busy times you wait an age,. Look at https://www.dollar.co.uk I find them the best and you can collect at the hotel adn drop off at the airport or casino.
Unless you buy bottle service ($300 ish upwards per 3 people) 8 guys will not get in to any decent club, if you split up you will but you wil stand in line for hours consider nitetours (link below) , it is not a scam at all but quite simply the best way to go clubbing in Vegas not to mention the cheapest it is owned by my friend and if yuow ant to conatct him directly drop me a line. You will get into the clubs as he has a deal and he also mixes stag and hen parties, its great value and great fun and can take in a strip club. Remember most strip clubs in Vegas are only topless as they are not allowed tohave fully nude and serve alcohol, the exception being the Palmino club downtown but it is a dive. Dont let them only being topless put you off go and you will understand.

I agree with sew - if you really want to see O, book it before you go. Tix4Tonight do get O tickets occasionally, but it's fairly rare and they don't get many, and in some cases they do not get them until mid-afternoon...they are usually only 20% off when they do get them. Like sew, if there is a show we really want to see that is not regularly discounted we'll book those before we go. O seems to be the one that is least likely to be discounted - even Love you can currently get for 25% through Circque Club, but not O.
Depending on when your trip is, you could wait a bit to see if any deals do crop up.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I think I used 89109 (a Vegas zip code) when I originally signed up...agree with nvh - it's a great resource and I get slightly excited when I see the email in my inbox.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
