Thanks for checking that out for me. Looks like a non-starter then as there's no way we'd be there to pick them up an hour beforehand.

I'm amazed that hubby's quite keen as he's usually the sensible and straight-laced one who downs any daft ideas I normally have.

got mine through mandalay bay offer, with 2 nights and 2 tckets
overal worked out cheaper just than getting them sepperate

Which Mandalay Bay offer was that? Do you have a link?

I couldn't even find the concert mentioned on the MB website.
  • I've combined Vegas and Mexico, and also done Vegas, NY and Orlando on the one trip. They are the only 2 Vegas trips we've booked with a package and we used Tradewinds and Virgin Holidays, both of which we had no problems with. Both trips were great in different ways but the Mexico one was more relaxing overall whereas the NY/Orl one was manic and i was exhausted by the end of it and felt like i needed another holiday just to recover:rotfl:

Try continental, you could book a flight to Vegas with a free stopover in NY. For Mexico we flew from Vegas to Mexico via Dallas(i think) and then flew home again from Mexico via Miami. Try a multi stop search on Expedia and see what options it throws up for you to get you started.

Thats what I'd like to do next time! I flew to Cancun in April stayed at Moon Palace and then just returned from Las Vegas last week, I'm still worn out! hehe wish we'd booked the 2 trips together, this year all i've done is long haul flights inc Dubai.

Correct. I did know about the Lion King offer, but have no desire to stay at MB.

Nice hotel - but too far to walk to mid-strip which is where "most stuff" is.....reliant on car or taxi or deuce except for closest stuff like MGM or Luxor. Youll therefore need to leave extra time to get anywhere.

Not like staying at Bellagio and popping over to Miracle Mile, or at Venetian and going for a poker tourney at TI. Or Wynn and doing the Fashion Show Mall.......its MBay and.......well theres the MBay beach, Lion King......

Frogs first rule of Vegas............just because it looks near, doesnt mean it is near.

agree on MB - seems to be a nice property, and we'd stay there to try it out one night if it was a silly cheap deal, but doubt we would want to base ourselves there.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I broke the rule once, walking from the Hilton to the Mirage......took about an hour, ended up walking on the hard shoulder of a pretty fast road, took shortcut thru Wynn golf course and Encore building site as was......could all have ben sorted by those three words....."taxi for Froggitt".

That was the time my mate got "seasick" on the Star Trek Experience and he ended up binning the Heli Night Flight.....wuss.
