The Bellagio FountainsNice hotel - but too far to walk to mid-strip which is where "most stuff" is.....reliant on car or taxi or deuce except for closest stuff like MGM or Luxor. Youll therefore need to leave extra time to get anywhere.
Not like staying at Bellagio and popping over to Miracle Mile, or at Venetian and going for a poker tourney at TI. Or Wynn and doing the Fashion Show Mall.......its MBay and.......well theres the MBay beach, Lion King......
Frogs first rule of Vegas............just because it looks near, doesnt mean it is near.
Mandalay Bay is ok
I have often stayed there, and walked each morning along to Fashion Show Mall...doesnt take that long...0 -
The Fremont street experienceIts a lovely hotel. Walking to FSM.......in summer......wow.illegitimi non carborundum0

The Fremont street experienceThats going past Luxor, Excalibur, NYNY, Monte Carlo, City Center, Bellagio, Caesars, Mirage and TI. Three miles as the crow flies.......but no they direct you in and out of hotels and walkways rather than let you cross a road. Up and down, in and out.......thats gotta be a good couple of hours. It takes me 20 minutes to get across the road from Venetian to TI starting at the wrong end of Venetian!!!!illegitimi non carborundum0

The Bellagio Fountainsbecause we can't resist stopping into each casino to have a look at the slots, we normally don't have too much trouble walking from point a to point b as we just naturally have a number of breaks...but I can say that the distance from Peppermill to Sahara (to get the monorail as we were going to Bally's and our friend to the Hilton, so made sense) at 3am is waaaay farther than it looks. I swear that Sahara seemed like a mirage in the distance that kept moving farther away.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

The Bellagio FountainsI forgot to mention when we were there, just outside one of the hotels, some bloke lost it in his car, mounted the central reservation bit and hit a tree slightly and then carried on driving!!!!! Must have been hammered! Everyone just stopped and stared! Quite funny, unless he had lost control and hit us pedestrians!0

Frogs first rule of vegas is spot on:D
I really like MB and the location is a non issue but then for us central strip isn't where "most stuff" is . We always go for meals at Bellagio/Paris and a bit of shopping at CP/PH but apart from that the majority of our time is spent either north or south strip as we prefer those areas. Also i'm kind of the mindset that the more walking involved the better - gotta work off all that eating and drinking somehow:o:rotfl::starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
The Bellagio FountainsIt just shows that there is something for everyone in Vegas. We usually spend time in different areas of Vegas and do things fairly close to our home casino. (Not counting walking from Excalibur to Palazzo for Jersey Boys!!!!! and back again)0

Indeed. and with all the walking I usually find that I don't gain weight while in Vegas despite all the bad for me food I eat...one trip I actually LOST 5lbs...which was just ridiculous.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
How long do you guys normally spend in Vegas? Was thinking about staying for a couple of weeks, is this too long?0
