The Secret GardenHi Guys,
Long time no post - apologies!! Been on alot just never logged in although I've never managed to catch up on all the posts.
Anyway, I need to be in Vegas on September 19th for The Killers concert at Mandalay Bay - tickets booked tonight.
We were thinking of trying to twin it with something different. Now my perfect holiday would be some time in manic Vegas followed by a chill out/recovery week in Mexico. If Mexico wasn't possible then maybe a visit to New York as we've never been there before.
Does anyone here have any experience of booking something similar or can anyone point me in the direction of a good travel agent or user friendly website.
It may be too much hassle for us especially as our local airport is Glasgow. Could do Edinburgh no problem but really want to avoid having to go to Manchester again. Going down is great it's coming back which is the killer!!
Any help or past experiences would be welcome.

The Bellagio FountainsI've combined Vegas and Mexico, and also done Vegas, NY and Orlando on the one trip. They are the only 2 Vegas trips we've booked with a package and we used Tradewinds and Virgin Holidays, both of which we had no problems with. Both trips were great in different ways but the Mexico one was more relaxing overall whereas the NY/Orl one was manic and i was exhausted by the end of it and felt like i needed another holiday just to recover:rotfl:
Try continental, you could book a flight to Vegas with a free stopover in NY. For Mexico we flew from Vegas to Mexico via Dallas(i think) and then flew home again from Mexico via Miami. Try a multi stop search on Expedia and see what options it throws up for you to get you started.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
The Bellagio FountainsForgot to add here's the link to the Vegas multi-centre options with VH. You can most likely get it cheaper doing it yourself but you can get ideas of the flights they use etc:

Who did you book the tickets with? Do you have a number to call and an idea how much they are?
We arrive on the 19th. Flight due to land around 6pm.0 -

The fanclub had a presale on at 6pm.
They sold out pretty quick though but the public sale is Fri or Sat through

at 10:00 Vegas time which I think is 6pm our time.
The tickets prices range from $39 - $82.
Sorry about that long link - not sure how to shorten them down .0 -
The Bellagio FountainsThanks for that. I've been hunting for a presale code since I posted with no luck. Looks like I will have to be on the ball at 6pm on Saturday.
Do you think it's best to try and book online or by phone?0 -

If you can do both - someone on the fone & u on the website but maybe u should give MB a call too - you never know your luck. No doubt they will some expensive ticket & room packages available just like HRC in April.
Register with TM if you're not already registered as it will make things easier on the day.
Hit that link about 5 mins before they're due to go on sale & refresh page until ticket box opens up - don't refresh too many times as it wil lock you out the site.
You need to be a member of the fanclub for presales - I joined few years back when I missed out on public sale & now I get presale opportunities for all the gigs - only cost $20 per year I think.

By the way the have other date on presale just now - Orlando, Tampa & Miami if you happen to be vsiting somewhere else.
I wished I mentioned the presale earlier but best of luck come Saturday.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsThanks. I'm not what you'd call a fan, but I became obsessed with "Human" and wouldn't mind seeing them as I do like some of their other stuff.
I tend to avoid concerts like the plague nowadays, but I'm sure I could make an exception for one in Vegas.0 -

Well we got seats which is good - turn up when we want instead of having to q early to get a decent view.
I'm sure seeing them in their own town will be good although they aren't as popular in the U.S. as they are in Europe.
I am a fan - going to Hyde Park on Friday to see them & when the Vegas gig came around I got very impulsive & bought tix without thinking it through.
Now for all the homework & planning - again!!
Anyway, after 10 hours on a plane I'm sure the last thing you'd need is a concert!0 -
The Bellagio Fountains10 hours and all the rest. I have to fly from NE Scotland first and hang around till our flight leaves LHR. Then we have a connection in LAX so something like 17-18 hours and that's without the couple of hours hanging about before our first flight.
Was it the $82 tickets you got? I found a site selling them tonight at $82 + $11 convenience charge. Did you have fees on top of the ticket price?0
