The Secret GardenHi to all. Just getting my TR for our trip to LV together so it makes sense.
Been home a week and having withdrawal symptons. After a couple of days we weren't too sure it was somewhere we would return to as felt a bit brash. After a whole week there we want to go back now! Although I don't think we would stay at the IP. Good location, but too dated and as said before just don't like the waiting for the lifts every time. Just me I suppose, but watching the lifts come down,5,4,3,2,3,4,5 just doesn't gell.
Basically we did Jersey Boys, Coasters Platters and Marvelletes, Lion King and Tournament of Kings. As well as drive to Hoover Dam(twice... long story will detail in TR), Red Rock, Gliding, tandem chuting, sunset trip to Grand Canyon and 500 miles of driving. As well as OH having to dialyse twice it was a pretty busy week.
Back with TR asap
and anybody with a trip to LV planned..............you jammy b****rs...lol(just jealous)
And now we have another Las Vegas Addict:rotfl:
I know just how you feel, I had exactly the same experience. Looking forward to your trip report.

The Bellagio FountainsI have thought in the past that I was Vegassed out, but within 1-2 weeks of getting home I was itching to go back.
The last couple of trips I have been on the internet checking flight prices within 15 mins of arriving home. This time I didn't even wait for the itch to set in before I booked, and then I wondered if I had done the right thing.
Looking forward to the TR. As for the IP lifts, there are a set of lifts behind the main ones that people tend to miss and they are far less busy. Our last 3 stays there have been on the 2nd floor so we didn't use the lift at all and just used the stairs.0 -
The Secret GardenJust a quick question
I'm having a devil of a job persuading Al to go back to Vegas next year.....it's not that he doesn't like it....he loves it....and it's not the money either.....it's the distance.
I know if I work on him I'll get my own way eventually but just incase he wont budge any suggestions for breaking up the journey into 2 smaller flights.....maybe a 6 hour and 4 hour staying a couple of days somewhere else......
Ideas please????:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -

So what date are you going back Luci??
As for lifts we always use the set behind the main ones....we were on the 8th floor and longest we had to wait was the day we checked out when we waited 10 mins for the lift up on the 8th floor....one of us in front of the main lifts and the other at the second set.....problem was all the lifts were just to full to fit us in with our cases so we had to wait for an almost empty one.....wouldn't put me off going back
The first time we stayed there we used the lifts in the middle of the casino....they were deffo quicker than the ones at the back:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -

I think a lot of cities would fit the bill and have direct flights from the UK, then direct flights to Vegas...like New York, Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago...really just depends on what you want to do.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsHi to all. Just getting my TR for our trip to LV together so it makes sense.
Really looking forward to the trip report! And it's no surprise your hooked now.
We've had several trips where we've been ready to get home by the end of them, but always immediately started planning our next trip upon return...I'm not sure if we'll ever get tired of it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsLorraine, we are going back 19 September for 13 nights. Hubby mentioned he would like to go for his birthday so it's September instead of our usual November.
I started pricing flights as soon as we got home and booked within 8 days. We have Paris booked for 10 nights and the Carriage House for the last 3.
Ferf, I'm only once been Vegassed out while we were still there. It was the first time we had stayed more than a week and after 8-9 days I was ready for home and a bit bored as I'd kind of run out of things to do.
Since then I have always done a planner of things to do and places to eat and have never been ready to come home.0 -
The Bellagio Fountainsoh, we're never bored - but we're worn out, even though we barely drink and rarely stay up to the wee small hours of the morning.
...thats what I meant by ready to come home...plus I think once we hit the last day, I go into 'going home' mode and start thinking about the long flight and then I get a bit blah and sad and then just want to be home because of the upcoming travelling...it's never that we've run out of things to do or anything like that.

The Bellagio FountainsAs I said, it has only happened the once and it's so not like me on holiday as I never normally want to come home. Maybe I was feeling a bit run down or worn out, but even after that trip I was itching to get back.
There was another trip when I had obsessed about Vegas for months and when I arrived I didn't feel in the least bit excited to finally be there, but I think I was just tired with the travelling and a bit dehydrated as I'd drunk very little on the flight. I also think the extra bit of travelling from NE Scotland and getting up at 3am takes its toll.
However I always want to go back.0 -

OK having never been to any of those cities....which one would you recommend....I've heard New York is really tiring and we don't really want to be knackered before we get on the plane for our second leg.......What is there to do and see in the other cities.....I quite fancy Atlanta but know absolutely nothing about it.......Maybe Orlando would be more relaxing????What do you think??:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0
