Phew! We are going with United in September and I checked when I booked 3 weeks ago and it was still 2 bags. You had me worried for a minute.

can anyone help please? We fancy soaking in some natural hot springs while in Vegas. We would prefer somewhere out in the wilds rather than just a pool in a resort. Does anyone know of anywhere? I know of some resorts in death Valley. We dont mind driving as we are driving up to Lake Tahoe for our second week

    Thanks
sorry for slow reply - spent most the weekend drunk :D

I bet you weren't half as worried as Tracy was when I told her. Sorry for jumping the gun.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Just a few pics to brighten up the pages.
    View of Wynn from Encore

View of Wynn golf course. In 3 days never saw one person on it, but at $500 a round you would be mad anyway.

View of one of the Encore pools. We have every intention of trying to flash our Encore room key to get in there in September. The guy never once asked to swipe it, he only had a cursery look. And I somehow don't think they will change the design.

Because AA, Delta, and United have all gone to 1 free bag each only. And I am not paying the extra for another bag. she wil just have to lose some of the makeup;)
Scrub that. Just checked and United and AA are still allowing 2 bags. I just assumed that all the airlines were doing one bag only now like Delta.
Well, looks like the golf clubs and makeup are back in again,as we are going with United next trip. Just wish she could travel a bit lighter

OK, phew! One more reason for us not to fly Delta...I had a bad experience with them about 9 years ago and they've been on my $h!t list ever since. :) Though it seems that with these things once one does it the others follow along...

To try to to find the site you had before, maybe do a Google image search for Nevada Hot Springs - then look at the photos that come up and see if any look familiar, then go to the site.

I have heard great things about Chicago. Why not see if you can at least spring for prem. economy or business on the flight home. We have decided that with al the times we go that we will cut down and stump up for that.
Also, we really liked splitting the trip at JFK. 6 hours then 4 hours, time to stretch your feet.
As an aside, don't know what Tracy is going to do now that we can only take 1 bag each on future trips, she has even had the cases out and tried to fit all of my and her stuff in, she says I will have to cut down!! Certainly won't be able to take the clubs any more.

How long is the lay over at JFK?.....we'd thought of doing a 6 hour flight and staying over for a couple of nights before continuing on to Vegas and the same on the way back.....I don't think a 2 -4 hour wait for the next plane is going to do for us as we'll still be effectivly travelling.....that would just make a 10 hour flight stretch to 14 hours or so......thanks for the suggestion but it was more of an actual stay in a chosen city we were after

The one thing to consider is that I don't think that you'll necessarily get a 10-hour total travel time each way stopping anywhere - it will probably add some time to your total journey because of the flight path the plane takes, 2 take offs, 2 landings...so it will naturally be a bit longer in the air doing 2 legs I think.

Example is our flight to Chicago and then onto Vegas - based on the scheduled flight times, it's 8:20 to Chicago, then 4 hours from Chicago to Vegas....so while Virgin direct is scheduled at 10 hours, 45 mins...by stopping in Chicago we're looking at 12 hours, 20 minutes scheduled. Of course the actual flight times may be shorter but I would assume that a similar amount of time will be built into the overall schedules for each combination of flights.

I know you may still prefer to break the trip up with a stop on the way in and out, just want to be sure you know you'll probably not keep the same time in flight.
