Hi guys I'm looking to hopefully book the Bellagio for the end of September and just wonderded is it all its meant to be or am I just paying for the name and wondered whats the essentials to do while over there (there for a week) and any views on what to expect for the weather. Wife would really like to have a go at ranching etc so is this a possibility.

    Cheers guys

Bellagio is a fantastic hotel and location is very good,

Was it for a special occasion?

Weather end of September will be late 80's well it was last year did not see many clouds,

    No idea about ranching!

Go for a lakeview room - that's what (IMHO) makes Bellagio worth the money...without a lakeview room, it's a nice hotel but to my mind there are much nicer...though as we've discussed recently Bellagio's location is better than some of the options where the rooms are nicer..since you're staying for a week, some of the other 5* options aren't that great location-wise...since I assume it's a first trip, I can see the benefit in staying at Bellagio over somewhere like Wynn or Encore where the rooms will be nicer, but the location won't be.

Cheers yes its for wedding anniversary, quote I have been given seems very good but its for a deluxe room (are these rooms decent, although realise I'll only be in it to sleep probably), any tips on what are the must do's as this forum is soooo huge and any feedback on the hotel its self, tripadvisor has a load of good comments but then there are the horror one's..but hey I guess every hotel is going to have them anyway.

Have you checked prices direct with the hotel's website? www.bellagio.com - really worth doing. Also also http://www.smartervegas.com/hotels/bellagio/promotionalcodes.aspx - possibly also fatwallet.

As far as things to do - everyone likes to do something different. You mentioned 'ranching' and I'm not sure what exactly that would be...if you mean horseback riding tours, there are several options not too far from Vegas (and some will pick you up at your hotel)...just do a google search for horseback riding near Las Vegas...if you mean something like working a ranch...doing the cowboy thing, I wouldn't be surprised if there's something like that available but it may be a further drive.

Sorry, also meant to say that the rooms will certainly be 'decent'...it is a 5* hotel after all...some say that the rooms are starting to look a bit worn though.

Thanks for the info and links, and yeah ranching is doing the whole cowboy thing I guess (don't ask.....) quote I had is from a company called bestlastvegasholidays (anyone used them), the quote the guy has given me seems to be about £800 cheaper than letsgoto who I have used in the past.

Have you checked the package price against the price to book flights and hotel separately direct with the airline and hotel?

Have just done it now and there seems to be nothing in it at all, if anything the guy from the travel company is £6 cheaper, flights are with Continental from Manchester and they came out at £850 and hotel comes out at £661ish so no difference in what he quoted me to be honest, will have a look around though to see if I can get it any cheaper but at the moment both prices coming out at just under £1500 for the 2 of us for the week

Seems to be a good price,

With the bellagio, location as mentioned is fantastic, if you can get the lakeview rooms better still,

    You will not be disappointed,

Enjoy your anniversary! and of course enjoy VEGAS
