Right I have finally managed to score 2 Casa di Amore certificates which I'm chuffed about as they were sold out when I checked the other day.

Tried to buy a gift certificate to redeem later, but got an error and it chucked me out.

Many thanks ferf for posting the latest code. It seems very early in the month for them to be dishing out 80% off. That usually happens at the end of the month.

I bought one too - now to convince my husband to give it a try...he's indifferent to Italian food in a restaurant environment...'it's just pasta' has been said. Having read about the place for years I really want to try it.

On Tix4Dinner (which I know Luci has used in the past) they are now showing Top of the World...I've looked at the restaurant list fairly recently (within the last 2 weeks) and didn't notice it until now...perhaps it was there and I missed it but I was pretty surprised to see it.

While we were totally disappointed in the food (for the price) at TotW when we went, if it is the case that you can by a 50% off entrees voucher for $3 then, well, that's a pretty darn good deal I think.

    Hello Everyone
Total newbie to this thread and fairly new to MSE too, mainly been on the wedding related threads as we got married this Sat just gone. Had an amazing day.

For wedding presents we asked for money for our honeymoon which we planned to be in Las Vegas. We were really lucky and had far more money than we ever hoped for. So now we really want to get the best for our money.

Due to work and other stuff we dont plan to go until Oct 09 (5th to 10th or slightly later but no earlier than the 5th) and only for 5 days as we have a 3 year old and dont want to leave him too long (he is not coming with us).

We would like to go with fun stuff and have the whole experience; limo from airport, room with hot tub, shows, shopping, gambling etc etc etc. Never been before so we are totally blind with all of this but would like to make it an amazing honeymoon.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I read at the beginning of the thread that BA are flying to Vegas direct in October - does anyone know if this is confirmed and are flights available?

    Thanks in advance

It's true but not until late October, so may be too late for your dates.

As far as tips, etc...it's a pretty big question. :) If you want suggestions on where to stay and that sort of thing, it might help to know what sort of budget you're looking at...like you say you're looking for a room with a hot tub...there's a pretty big price range for that option (I'm thinking Imperial Palace Luv Tub rooms will be the cheapest, then maybe Luxor spa suites if a good deal is available, and upwards from there)...

I love this thread and the internet is a massive resource for any travel destination, but part of me feels the old school approach in buying a travel guide as the starting point makes sense if it's completely new to you (though travel guides will be outdated pretty much as soon as they're published in most cases)...Vegas is many things to many people, so what one enjoys, another will hate...so it's hard starting from scratch to make suggestions and things you may love may not get suggested...if that makes sense.

Congrats on your wedding and I'm sure you'll get loads of ideas and info here and elsewhere.

Actually, one thing I just thought of - if you're only planning on staying 5 nights, and your schedule allows you to stay Sun-Thurs nights, you'll probably get better room rates than any other combination as you'll miss the Friday/Saturday nights which are typically the most expensive.

Thanks for this having. Having looked at flights with Virgin our dates totally dont coincide with good prices our actual dates work out £1600 per person whereas moving it to the tuesday 6th to Sunday 11th makes then £458 per person so we are going to go with slightly different dates and slightly longer.

I know it was a really broad question to ask but would love some honeymooners who have been there's opinions on what was good and what is classic Las Vegas stuff to do. Forums like this are invaluable and I wanted to start with asking on here before going off on my own.

I really appreciate your advice - thanks.

Thats the Virgin "stay a Saturday night and its a quarter the price" deal. Try pricing up an indirect....might save £100 or so.

How about Gondola ride at Venetian? Theres a special white gondola for just marrieds that you can ask for.

    Dinner up the Eiffel Tower.

How about Stripper 101 at PH for you while he goes to the slugger stadium? You can then try out some new moves later on that evening.

Get re-married by Elvis while your friends watch on broadband.

Great ideas thanks so much - this is what we were after just ideas of what to do as we area totally new to it.

With the Virgin Sat night deal what was that for as the prices we looked at were just for flights?

    Thanks again

Good find ferf! TOTW was definitely not listed when we were there a month ago. I would certainly consider trying it at 50% off. I take it it's a la carte and you pay for sides on top of the entree?

Tix4Dinner has some good restaurants listed such as Penazzi, Bally's Steakhouse, Al Dente, etc.
