Virgin flights are much much cheaper if you stay a Saturday night.

Also, hire a limo from the airport to your hotel with champagne on ice and a pair of midget strippers, which everyone seems to be doing at the moment.

sorry Froggitt forgot to ask - any tips on where to book limo?

    Thanks

Need some advice on the United Airlines "economy plus" I think sew uses it. Been quoted $572 to upgrade all sectors of the itinerary, but can get an annual pass for $349 that includes me and Tracy. Is it worth the extra and do you think it is possible to retrospectively use the annual pass for flights already booked

I looked into United Airline's "Economy Plus" as it was only another $97pp EW, but as far as I could see, all that it entitled you to was "up to" an extra 5 inches leg room.

United are a bit stingy with only 31" seat pitch on their 777's so I'm still debating it.

We used Presidential Limos. They are $60 for pick up from the airport or for an hour so I emailed them and said I wanted picked up AND a tour of the strip before being dropped off at the hotel.

The price includes a bottle of champagne and a rose for the ladies.

Apparently the time start from when the aircraft lands, which isn't much use if you clear immigration at LAS and have a logn wait. We arrived on a domestic flight which was due in at 17.45 so I just asked for the limo to the pick us up at 18.15. We went to a liquor store at the south of the strip, went for photos at the Las Vegas sign and were dropped off after 45 mins.

I think there were a few posts on that subject four or five days ago. $150 or so for an hour rings a bell, with extra for alcohol and midgets.

Edit: Just seen lucis post........its a lot less than my memory remembered.

Just remembered. You can get the limo for $90 round trip, but without the champagne and rose.

Our flight from LHR in September is on a 767, still 31" pitch, economy plus is 34-35"
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

not sure if this will be of interest to anyone as it's so, so far south on LVB...but South Point have a 50% off sale until 8pm GMT tonight.

    http://www.southpointcasino.com/09-june48hour-sale.php

May be interesting for those with a car who are willing to stay a bit away from the strip....it's a nice property - big casino, cinema, bowling, etc...just not the most convenient location.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Has anyone actually been bowling in either Orleans or Southpoint? we are thinking about it for this trip but it would be a fun outing only (ie we are all !!!! :rotfl:) We were in a US bowling alley in Tampa last year for something else but it was all ulta serious and we just want a laugh.
