Yes we have stayed there 9 times, TangoBunny has stayed there twice and pebblesmax has also stayed there.

It is a basic, no frills hotel with a lively casino. Loads of people, especially on TA, knock it, but it's fine as long as you aren't expecting the Encore for IP prices.

Ask for a quiet room facing the pool, otherwise you might not get to sleep till 3 or 4am if you end up facing Carnaval Court.

I have posted reviews HERE which reminds me, TANGOBUNNY, GET YOUR REVIEW ON THERE!! There's not one from my last stay in May, but only because it was exactly the same as my previous two visits as I was in the same room. The only difference is that the Teahouse is no longer their 24 hour coffee shop as it now only opens from 7am till 10pm.

We just spent three of our six weeks at the IP and we're going back to stay there in October too. As Luci says, don't expect 5 star luxury and you won't be disappointed. We're extremely low rollers, but get good offers from them. At least half our nights are free on the next trip. You can't beat free.

Hey - when in October? We depart on the 8th...hopefully will have an overlap so we can meet up again. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I think a lot of TA folks are American...so one of the comments in one of the reviews at HT explains why people on TA tends to knock the place.

The new room was fine and for UK trippers we were happy USA trippers expected far higher standards. For UK trippers the room is the same as an average three to four star Spanish hotel we were happy with it.

Ferf, I think you're avoiding us. We don't arrive until 13th October.

Well, we will need to try to co-ordinate things better next year. Two near misses this year and one last year isn't good enough. I'll be forgetting what you two look like.

Those reviews for the IP look good, afterall, we're not there to sleep. We stayed at The NewYorker (in NYC) during Xmas and that was dear, but we were only in the room for short spells.

    Thanks for the replies
