no probs Bex :) The big thing I say is it depends why you're going. If I was taking my other half, I'd go for the Wynn/Venetial and go for short term romance.. but for a proper vegas experience inc gambling and such, I'd definitely recommend the IP!

Its our honeymoon - we got married last saturday but cant take time off work until October. I think the Venetian will tick the boxes for what we want. Because we havent been before I just wanted to see what everyone thought of the price to make sure it wasnt over the odds and if we could get it cheaper by doing it seperately. Through Expedia its £1261 for Virgin direct flights and 5 nights at venetian if we booked it seperately ourselves its £1333. Thanks again.x

Well congratulations on getting married :) You'll both love vegas I'm sure.

A venetian suite sounds like what you need, though if going on a budget, the IP would give you plenty more for shows and meals :)

Did a little search on Expedia to compare prices with IP as tempted after your recommendation and advice but only £100 in difference between the two so its silly not to go with Venetian if only that much more. Got to take the plunge now and just book it unless anyone thinks its likely to come down in price nearer to the time - what do most people do? Thanks again though.

Yes our first time! Have wanted to go for ages. We did actually want to get married there but we have a 3 year old and he really wouldnt have enjoyed it. So this is the best of both worlds we get to go away on our own for 5 nights - we havent done that before.

My only other trip to the states was to New YOrk and that was AMAZING and lived up to all my expectations so I am hoping for the same with Vegas.

    Well enjoy then! :)

About the price.. it's really hit and miss. If the price you've got is based on an offer then I say go with it... Else there'll be offers around and with the exchange rate getting better, its a gamble like everything!

Definitely go with the Venetian if that's all the difference.

What rates are you getting if pricing the Venetian direct? This will give us an idea if a better rate is likely to come out nearer the time.

to do it directly it was

    Flights 947.40 Virgin
$895/1.6 if exchange rate is that = £412
    £1411 5 nights
Will search lastminute.com again and compare as they seem to be the cheapest at mo - the same flight and hotel was £1261

Today the same booking on lastminute is coming out at £1250 so its £11 cheaper - is that right does it change day to day? Arrrggghhh this is doing my head in! He he just want to pick one and go with it but worried about that nearer the time it would be cheaper. Definitely decided on Venetian and booking direct doesnt seem to have made it any cheaper now just worried booking now when it might be lower nearer the time?
