Thank you ferf. This is something I naively hadn't planned for this.
    Was looking at £672 flights DUB-LGW-LAS for 2 , 4 days MGM £313 + 3 days Venetian £258. (after much research)

Just have €4000 CC limit €500ish balance but I'll have to increase the limit I suppose just to be safe.

  • Getting very excited - going on Wednesday for 1st time ever to Las Vegas with OH and kids. Booked using Tesco clubcard so has only cost me £800 for the 5 of us for a week! We are staying at the MGM Grand and we are looking forward to it sooo much. Have just noticed that we will be over there on Fathers Day - has anyone any suggestions for a nice surprise for OH that the kids and I could arrange. Kids are aged 11, 16 and 18 so no strip shows! Thank you all for your tips and trip reports I have been reading everyday and there is always something new to learn!

Yeah, am sure it would happen in other places as well. I would think that that type of crowd would be found more over at MB or the Palms. I can tell you that Planetho is a right nightmare on Friday and Saturday, with the only access to Prive through the middle of the casino They even pull the CW's off of the casino floor at 11pm. Those SoCal knobs do my head in as well, all bling and no brains, and the girls all trying to see who can look the most like an extra from a Snoop Dogg video.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    totally agree,
as a Vegas party goer its a complete nightmare with the LA esk girls thinking there special on daddy's money.

Pure at Caesers is the worst as the main entrance is next to the sports book area and there can be hundreds of people trying to get in.
Tryst at Wynn is more managed as its round the corner from hotel registration
XS at Encore is not so great either as the whole corridor is packed full of people.
LAX at the Luxor is just off the casino floor also, so can get really busy Friday/Saturday nights

    cheers

    Froggit,

Would appreciate a bit of advice, i'm toying with the idea of popping over to Vegas, flying out on the 26th December and flying back overnight on the 31st December (avoiding New Years Eve!!). Is Vegas noticeably busier over that period or am I likely to get some good deals on rooms for those nights??

Its likely to be a fairly late decision, booking in December so i've got a while to make my mind up but just wondered what to expect.

    Thanks,

    Stew
