i can only seccond what was said earlier
careful using Trip advisor, a lot of the reviews are either posted by the hotels themselves or by really fussy people (americans!)
    lol
the thing to always do is check other peoples reviews see what they have siad about other things

I haven't as I'd read so many bad reviews about it and how expensive it was.

Edited to add, a trip to the south rim would be less expensive and a much better experience, I think...we drove, but coach tours are available.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

And we flew to South Rim GC Airport, and had a bus tour around the National Park.....on Boxing Day it was minus 17 degrees and felt like my eyeballs were freezing.

Proper trip to GCA by air I reckon would cost the same as a heli to the West Rim with a Skywalk (no photos etc).

This made me laugh out loud...and people wonder why I prefer the weather in the UK to the weather the places I lived in the US. :)

If anyone's after an Archos 605 to watch videos in-flight, I know of one available, PM for details.

    Cheers

    Thanks Lorraine, it's appreciated.

I did mean to post a brief review of the IP as people don't tend to pay much attention if the reviews are a year or two old. I did post ones for a couple of our other hotels, just not the IP.

Just booked our tickets to see the Lion King in September. We have one comped night at the Excalibur that night so will save us tackling strip traffic on a busy Saturday night.

Will probably eat at the Sherwood Cafe after the show as the restaurants at Mandalay Bay look really expensive even with the restuarant.com certificate.
