Has anyone actually been bowling in either Orleans or Southpoint? we are thinking about it for this trip but it would be a fun outing only (ie we are all !!!! :rotfl:) We were in a US bowling alley in Tampa last year for something else but it was all ulta serious and we just want a laugh.

We haven't been, but I would just call them and ask what times are best for your group to come and have a few games and a laugh - they'll be able to give you a good idea when it's most relaxed...my guess would be during the day on weekdays would be best - most league players work so probably won't be there during the day. I do know what you mean about it being ultra serious - I was on a league once many years ago (I know, I can't believe I'm admitting it) and many of those people took bowling very, very seriously.

    Hey

the best price I am finding so far (out of Virgin Holidays, Expedia and Last minute.com or doing it ourselves with Virgin flights and booking with hotel directly) is coming up at £1261 for 5 nights at the Venetian with direct flights wtih Virgin. What do you think of this - could it be better?

    Thanks

    Yes at the Orleans
I've bowled there both in a small group and a group of 30 women most who' never bowled before. It's massive with 70 lanes and although they have leagues never seen that attitude there (I know exactly what you mean though - !)

Thanks for the replies about Bowling guys, we will add it to the list  going for 10 days so need a few things we havent done before to keep our donations to the casino's in check :o

Hi Duchy - not saying they were nasty or anything but it seemed very important to them and if you feel that way the last thing you need are a bunch of learner muppets in the next lane :D

We're going to check out the Pinball Hall of Fame next trip for the same reason - keeping us off the casino floor. :)

everyone I know who has been has said it was great...and with no entry fee, older games $0.25 to play and newer games (90s) $0.50 to play, seems like something that would be fun and keep us away from the slots for awhile. :)

Gets great reviews, though I have noted the complaints about the heat in there...hopefully will be cool enough for us late September.
