    Morning all!

It's great to see loads of new members. Hello!

I try to take things a bit easier at the weekends so I'm having a light day today - have still done the boring things like dishwasher, washing, etc, etc, but planning to finish tidying files and archiving/shredding anything we don't need to hand. OH will put them in the loft later. DDs room tidy will be finished today so that I can bring up her new toys. I think there's some ironing to do as well, which I may tackle later. (Still haven't done Tesco yet - OH still sorting the battery out....looks like I need a new one).

I'm planning to do some batch baking so that OH has something to take with his packed lunch - and so that we have something to snack on at home! Might try to get DD involved - something I somehow stopped doing when we moved.

Oh yes, I wanted to share something with you that my OH told me when I was beating myself up about my inability to cope, and the over whelming sense of failure I felt. He said not what you've done, it's what you do now that's important.

Anyway, hope you all have a great day.
    Take care
    D

    Ok I started yesterday... I went to the baby clinic :) Lily-Anne is now 10lbs 5oz :T

Cleaned my bedroom and changed sheets.

I am doing my wii fit everyday too.

Today we have my step daughter coming for the weekend so it really will be a case of just cleaning up the mess the kids make.

I need to do about 4 loads of washing and sort out school uniforms for monday.

Tomorrow I am going to batch cook some chilli and spaghetti sauce. make chicken soup with the rest of last night's chicken and maybe a casserole with a chicken in the freezer.

Hello everyone and welcome to all the new posters!

We went to buy the dehumidifier this morning, so not got much done. Also stocked up on big bottles of water as our water tends to go off randomly about once a month:confused: so we bought 4 x 8 litre bottles while we were in Spain as it's a lot cheaper than here in Gibraltar. Speaking of being prepared, I am thinking of getting a little camping stove so that we can still eat in the event of a power cut (which also happen here quite often). Oh and I need to check that we've got a few candles and a lighter and put them somewhere easy to find!

Hopefully now I have got the dehumidifier I will be able to keep up with the washing a bit more, and I will clean out all the kitchen cupboards tonight and wash them out with vinegar as they are starting to smell damp.

Anyway our plan for the week ahead goes like this:
    • Sunday:
      • AM: Morrisons for big weekly shop.
      • PM: Take Xmas Decs Down. Clean bathroom and kitchen, and hoover round everywhere
    • Monday: DH back to work.
      • AM: Playdough Activity
      • PM: Mop kitchen floor, do some decluttering and sorting of living room drawers and bookshelf.
    • Tuesday:
      • AM: Playgroup (0930-1200)
    • Wednesday:
      • AM: Painting activity
      • PM: Clean bathroom and kitchen again. DH to take Jas to playground after tea so I can hoover round.
    • Thursday:
      • AM: Playgroup (0930-1200)
    • Friday:
      • AM: Playgroup (0930-1200)
      • PM: DH early finish so maybe go out somewhere. Hoover round everywhere again.
Right that's enough from me I think! This post is well long :-)

I have a question for you all, what's on your MUST DO EVERY DAY list of jobs? I'm trying to finalise mine and I really need to get into the habit of doing it!
  • I had to force myself to do the dishes, put away the laundry and make the beds before we went out this morning for a wander round town. I was in the habit of just leaving everything to do when I got back... but I did it all as quickly as possible and it was lovely to walk back into a tidy house and just sit down and have a cuppa:D

    Hi all

I think I need to join also! I work part time and my children are 4 1/2 and
    2 1/2

The thought of being organised and having a tidy house to avoid those feelings of dread whenever you hear a knock at the door sound good to me :-)

    Good luck all

Hello-i'm going to do one thing at a time as if i try to do too much i panick and end up doing hardly anything!!

First aim-get the hoover out (this may sound bad but im lucky if it gets done once a week so far, elliot keeps me too busy).

Second aim-try to remember the poor hamster and get her cleaned out ore often!

I now sound like a terrible wife lol......I do manage daily loads of washing, wash/sterilise and make up bottles, wash up dishes and general tidying up...oh and these days i do manage to clean my teeth lol (having a baby turned my life upside down!!).

    keely.

Hope you are better soon littlepinky84.
I got my neaqrly 4yr old to sort out some of his toys and books (first time he has ever agreed to that!) and then got my 6 yr old to by giving him £4 (ok rod for my own back but i was desperate to clear up some clutter!). He got rid of 9 ps2 games to ebay, plus i ow have three huge bin sacks of stuff, tho someof it is so good i am thinking of car booting it - which is bad in a way cos that means it will be hanging around for 6 months!
Took them to a party which was fun cos adults had to join in but am too tired to do much now and the place is a tip!Did pop in the attic again about 10pm last night and have a pile of rubbish/boxes etc for the tip, which means i can now fill the space up again with the car boot stuff lol!

well i am worn out! I got up at 6.30, and did washing/dishwasher/tumble drier/ironing before going to hairdressers at 9. Then went shopping for Jan and Febs cards and pressies, found annuals in poundland great for kids friends birthdays coming up.came home made lunch, played with DD then took down tree/decs.
This made me reaslise i need more storage for DD,s toys so ordered MORE trofast from IKEA !!!
Made tea and now i'm resting hoping for a 2nd wind of energy to do more tonight, this pregnancy is exhausting but i am excited about my new organisation.
next week will be fun though as i am going to begin the potty training task, think i will do this before i join any groups with DD!
