Ooops! missed me off the list!
I have done absolutely nothing today, we had a big family get together at my mums so I've been out all day. maybe tomorrow will be better
Well done everyone else.0 -
morganb - thanks for the reminder about taking the xmas tree down, although it's not as if it's not starring me in the face every time I walk into the lounge  . I rope in DD to help and DH can obviously untangle the lights
.
DD is off to MIL's for a sleep over tonight so will see if I can get a head start on something off my next week to do list. Top of the fridge is probably the easiest option, will see how I get on.0 -
Hmm, have not done too well yet as have only just got out of bed!
Never mind, at least I now have the energy to tackle some of the things on my (somewhat adventurous) list! That's Numberwang!0 -
Hey, i'd like to join....not sure where to start though!Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0

Im up and semi organised
, I have made the boys beds and sorted washing!! I actually cant wait till Monday and the kids return to school which gives more of a routine than these lazy mornings.
Hi Keelykat I would start with the things that bother you the most, whether its clutter or time organisation, theres plenty of tips on here!!Finally, I can see you crystal clear0 -
Ok, i've started well today...i've put all the decorations and tree away. Dusted and hoovered lounge. Made cobs, washed and tumble dried (before 8am on economy 7) a coloured load of dirty washing and gave the toilet a quick wipe round.
This is my plan for next week:
Monday: Lounge & Dining room (it's actually play/computer/junk and dining room)
Tuesday: College - no cleaning (i'm being realistic)
Weds: Kitchen, Hall, stairs, paintwork outside around front door.
Thurs: Landing, bathroom and toilet
Friday: Bedrooms incl. changing beds
Sat: Shopping (i go really early to avoid crowds)
Everyday: Dust dark furniture in lounge (it shows the dust), washing, ironing, clean sink, empty/fill dishwasher, make bread and lunches and dinner and any other jobs that i have tried to put off for as long as possible. Also i must fit in my allotment and garden, meal planning and my college work......i'm feeling tired just thinking about it all.
Maybe i should think of it as if i am employed to be a housekeeper...if i was i know i wouldn't be so lazy!0 -
Hi Girls
i am about to do my plan but need some help with DD who is 2, i need to find a way to plan the jobs around her as she doesn't go to nursery yet or any groups. I am going to see if i can find a toddler group i can bare for her sake, and we will do park/soft play trips. But..i still don't know how i will fit everything else in without feeling guilty for not doing things with her, how do you all do it?0 -
Afternoon all.
I've resisted the PC until now, and as a consequence have done loads this morning....DDs room is still mid-sort, but I think this will probably be another hour at the most.... All my 'daily' things have been done today (first time in six months!) - this is a list of about a dozen things that I'm 'supposed' to do each day and includes things like bins, dishwasher, bread, washing, etc (the kind of things that if they were forgotten would make life a bit more messy....)
I tried to do the Tesco shop today, but the car wasn't having any of it. Just waiting for the battery to charge then we'll be off....
There's a huge pile of paper on my desk (I think the fairies must bring it in the night!), so I'll have a go a filing some of it, then off to cook some lunch.
Hope you are all having a great day and managing to get through it all...
Take care

My DD only started a playschool group in Feb last year so the way I got the housework done was to do it whilst she was watching telly/doing crafty things/playing with toys up to about 10am when then we would go out. I had a routine of things I wanted to get done, anything that didn't get done I didn't stress over. Some chores I got DD to "help" with, giving her a duster and let her dust the telly or get her to take pillow cases off. If she didn't manage it it didn't matter, it got some jobs done albeit a bit slower than normal, better than not at all. Remember that not everything gets done and it doesn't matter, it can get done tomorow.
Meanwhile, I have cleaned the bathroom and kitchen floor, my must do's but I'm not bothering to clean the outside porch and door as we are supposed to be having a new driveway, not sure when, it keeps being put off, but you can bl**dy well count on them starting in as soon as I've cleaned out there  .0 -

...you can't have a perfect house with a toddler so pls don't feel guilty about it when you can't do jobs. Remember, you DD will remember a mother that has time for her, she won't remember that you have a house that is super clean...and they grow up so quickly. I would give anything to have my DD's at toddler age again.0
