  • Is it really pathetic if I wait until Monday to start? Hubby usually works away Mon to Fri so I've had him at home for the last two weeks and it's chaos. Honestly he's worse than the children.

Going to spend the weekend planning and getting the Christmas stuff out the way then attack the new plans from Monday on. It's the day my shopping is due anyway so will help with the food planning.

well all i've managed to do today is cut all the xmas cards up to make gift tags for next xmas(yes i am that tight lol), but managed to make about 100 - should last me several xmases lol! Also carried on from yesterday filling a sack of charity shop stuff as well.
Back to school tuesday and i am going to make sure i lay out all our clothes the night before and get the boys dressed as soon as they get up, and make my eldests sarnies the night before, have his bag ready etc, i have bben a bit slack lately but it makes such a difference in the mornings!

    3. take Xmas decorations down

ARGH!!! I had forgotten about Christmas decorations!
  • Hi, can i join this group please?

i'm going to be a SAHM officially from the 15th Jan. I've been working for the past five years whilst having two daughters but circumstances have changed and i'm going to be a SAHM. I can't wait cos i've hated working all these years, felt like i've missed out.

I have two daughters five and nearly three.

Plan for this next year is to :

    1. To take youngest to libary at least once per week, she is really interested in books so this will save me some dosh.

    2. I've just swapped my ironing basket for something a little smaller so i'm hoping this will encourage me to keep on top of it all on a daily basis.

    3. Keep my house all spik and span so its a nice happy place to be.

    4. Walk to school and back every day unless its raining
    One Happy Mummy! :D

  • Evening Ladies, please could I join?

  • Hello and welcome to all the newest members....this group is growing fast, I'm really delighted. I think it will really help me to stay on track knowing I'm accountable to all of you :T
    Hi all,

I am sooo disorganised. I try and get up and ready before he wakes up, especially if we are going out in the morning but sometimes it is hard not to wake him up while I do this??!

I find trying to do anything while he is awake impossible!! I only get housework done when he is sleeping and his naps are getting shorter and so the house is getting messier!

Your lo sounds a lot like mine....my dd is the lightest sleeper (not like her mummy or daddy ) and I have to do quiet activities while she is sleeping like playing on the internet ;). I can't get up and ready before her or she would wake up so I have started showering/washing my hair at night to get a head start in the morning! I was also trying to get out of the house a lot with her because it seemed easier, but then the house was getting messy because I was just avoiding it. Now I just take her into each room with me and let her help, in her own way....like if I'm hanging up laundry on the airer she helps by pulling it off again  .
  • My dd is just the same " Aimee help you mummy" and Inside Im thinking NO GO AWAY.

Hi all, my day did not progress well at all!! Went to the new Tesco Home Store with OH for a bathmat as the wee one is too big for his bath seat now and ended up spending ages looking at new tvs!! By the time we got home I made dinner, then my brother turned up so nothing got done as we all played Guitar Hero on the Wii (:o bit of an addiction now). I am intending to spend the weekend clearing out cupboards and sorting wardrobes properly as I havent done that since we moved in (four weeks ago!). I am hopefully going to gloss the hall doors aswell.

Everyone else seems to be doing brilliant :T. I need to get out of relax mode, christmas is over now!!
Finally, I can see you crystal clear

Lol, I can second that, dh tries to be good and does the dishes or will empty the composting bin out into the big one in the garden, but he never finishes any job totally... so I will come in the kitchen and the dishes will be still draining or the compost bin is empty but hasn't been washed... bless him, at least he tries!

    I've been Money Tipped!
FrenchMaid, you put me to shame ... you're up at 5.30 and I've only just surfaced again, bit worried about how I'm going to get to work on time next week ...
    That's Numberwang!
