    Hello all!

Hope you are all having a good day. Things going OK here - taking it easy again today (had a lie in), but have my dailies to finish and some ironing (OH back to work tomorrow). Dinner is planned, along with some baking (while the oven's hot), but a very small spanner has been thrown in the works - not that I'm complaining because it's something that needs doing....and that is a tour of the delivery suite at our local community hospital. I'll be 30 weeks pregnant on Wednesday, so phoned this morning to try and arrange a visit - they're obviously kicking their heels as they suggested we come in for 1pm! I'm quite excited - I've heard nothing but good things about them.

But, it does mean that we can hand-deliver an anniversary card for OHs parents - we missed the post yesterday. Hopefully (and I mean this in the nicest way) we won't stay with them for too long, wouldn't want to have the whole day taken up when there's plenty to do.

Chrimbo decs coming down on Tuesday, so will have to get boxes from the loft, and the local charity shop is coming to collect a sofa tomorrow, so will have to give that a hoover before the end of today.

Phew! Better get going - have the car to defrost!

    Take care

Had another good morning...I washed and dried a load of washing, made cobs, cleaned salad thing and around the shelf in fridge, did all the veg for sunday roast later and washed chicken that had been out all night and found it was still not defrosted (thats why we are having it tonight instead of lunch time)! popped into asda for a couple of things and I'm now trying to learn 2 more latin names for different weeds for my course in between reading this thread....so ....i think i'm having a good day, but i must keep this up.

Oh dear everyone is so organised and i am lagging behind!Hubby took the three young uns out this morning so i could tidy up the tip, but by the time i got lunch cooking and sorted out some rubbish in the roof the place looks worse than ever lol!The only way i can get the house done is when i don't have the kiddies here - which rarely happens, my 10 mth old is worse cos hes all over the place! I think i need to start writing down hubbys shifts (works all round the clock) so i can organise us around that!
Well done to everyone else tho!

Dobs, I'm not normally this organised, it has taken most of the Christmas holidays to get the house bearable ... and I haven't even ventured into the boys bedrooms or found homes for their new Christmas presents yet!!! I've tried to do one or two hotspots per room a day (some stuff has been following me round for 11 days now!!!)

  • I'm out of sync with my weekly plan but things are getting done so I'm happy about that :D I cleared out a kitchen cupboard today so I could stock up on tins. I have done my weekly shopping and am ahead with my laundry so my plans are working  I need to do a menu plan for this week. I really just want to veg out in front of the tv but forcing myself to do things seems to be keeping things on track so I'll go do it now;)

You ladies are really keeping me motivated :T

    :waves:

Thanks for all the daily must do lists everyone! I've stolen some of your ideas I'm afraid, my final list goes like this:

Me and DD to be up, washed and dressed
    Swish and Swipe round bathroom
    Make bed
1 load of laundry washed and hung to dry
Yesterdays load of laundry folded and put away
Pots washed after breakfast and lunch (DH does it after tea)
Swish and Swipe round kitchen after lunch (DH does it again in the evening)
Tidy toys away with DD before supper time

I just about manage that each day, some days don't bother swishing round the bathroom though but I really should each day! I want to add some more to it but will do so gradually, they will be:
Lay clothes out for next day each evening
Sort out what's for lunch and tea the next day, meat out to defrost if needed

Probably some more too, I will work up to having proper morning, afternoon and evening routines a la flylady!

I have another nosey question for you all:
How often do you change your bedding?
I will be the first to admit that sometimes I go a month without changing it!
DD's cot though I change once a week or sometimes more..
  • I have been a SAHM for 12 years and am still not organised. i have 4 kids and my house always looks like a tip, even though i seem to clean constantly. I go round to friends houses who never seem to lift a finger and theres still looks presentable:mad: . Really want to get organised. i have trouble leaving things that need to be done and so am constantly 'just putting in another wash' or 'just cleaning .....'.

Gonna try and write a list like you lot have and steal some of your ideas;) .

BTW i tend to change bedding about every 2 weeks, i think you are 'supposed' to change it weekly but who on earth has time to do that. sometimes i leave my 5 year olds 3 weeks before changing and he spends most of his time in our bed anyway.
    now mum of 4!!!

I try to do it weekly, but this time of year it's a bit more tricky to get it washed and dried, so sometimes goes up to 2 weeks before change.

I don't always get to wipe around the bathroom daily either - it's my least favourite task, so one that I often conveniently 'forget'. But, I'm going to have to be strict with myself and make sure it's done - then there'll be no flat panic when people visit.

My mum is visiting tomorrow, so will be trying to get things done before she arrives. Dailies, plus a list of bathroom-related things from the flylady thread, should keep me busy for a while! Thankfully, I don't have to do the school run (well, walk really...!) until Tuesday, which will give me a little more time.

    D.
