been thinking of trying www.motivatedmoms.com as they have a printable checklist you can buy and download that includes chores and decluttering/organising/etc. Its only $8 for the year or you can download the free 2002 ebook which has a years worth of checklists (just the dates aren't right) http://www.motivatedmoms.com/2002-Book.pdf
Wow, thanks for that link! I have saved the 2002 book and printed the first two weeks of lists and the daily bit. Will have a doodle on it to add my own, then and might even type it up and laminate. Subscribing sounds good too, $8 is really cheap..0 -
Morning Everyone
Really good to see people are getting things done. Well done
I think the biggest motivation for me is list making and posting on here. I would just sink into the sofa with the last of the xmas chocs each evening if it wasn't for that list.
Anyway, this morning has been a bit pear shaped, it snowed here overnight, not much but enough for DD to make her first proper snowball :snow_laug. So we had to get out a bit earlier and has put me back a bit but never mind, I've got the bathroom cleaned and the kitchen floor will get done before I go out to pick DD up in about an hour.
Yesterday, DD helped to take the xmas decs down and last night I made a list of everything in the freezer and meal planned for the rest of the week. I could have planned for about a month with all the stuff that is in the freezer  , but will take it one week at a time. I'll have to do some shopping thurs or fri for bread, milk and F&V so hopefully won't have to buy much more as I'll do next weeks meal plan later on this week.
Due to the snow I haven't gone shopping this morning whilst DD is at nursery. I was going to pick up some thank you cards but will save myself some pennies and get DD to help make them this afternoon by cutting up some glitter pictures she made over the hols :money:0 -
Wow, you lot put me to shame.
This thread so inspired me that I actually sat down and did my tax return (only took half an hour, and how long have I procrastinated?). And filled in my form to become a CAB volunteer. And even found envelopes.
Been very out of routine due to going away at Christmas and have hardly been out due to the cold. Just been lounging lazily and poor LO is getting cabin fever. All playgroups etc are starting up this week so it is my mission to get to them all, starting today with Vocal Babies.
Oh, and buy some stamps so I can send off those forms i finally filled in.
By the end of the week I want the following done:
All bills paid
Holiday booked
Bedding changed
Bedroom tidy
Hoovering done (not easy as DD HATES the hoover!)
stairgates ordered (she is about to crawl any minute)
Move everything out of baby's reach (see above)
2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Just thought I'd add that as far as changing bedding goes I'm another one that really should change it more often. Aim to do it every week but this regularly gets left and so it can go up to a month! Eeek!! This will be my MACAW challenge I think.0

Hello all:hello:
Could you please put me down for the challenge?I have two little ones and work part-time.
Well after reading all your plans we went like mad over the weekend!!! We cleared all the rubbish out of the house, freecycled like mad, I finally caught up with three weeks of ironing:T and the hall is slowly getting painted. Wheyy heyyy. Oh yes nearly forgot to add I finally also cleaned the car. Jeeze if you guys could see what it looked like.......:o
Right i need to start a list of what needs doing to prevent the house getting like that again. I love writing lists and I have ordered a diary and calender to help push me into action  BUT my main problem is sticking with it! I love flylady and its great that some of you are doing this as well.
Right I'll stop now and try and sort of some kind of routine in my head. I also need to add time to really deep clean rooms, clean out my handbag and God forbit that I forget the car!!!

Hi all, I feel I need you to moan at me to get me motivated
I am currently sitting with a cup of coffee and big slab of (very delicious!) cake! and the house looks like a bomb has hit it and I should be doing a million and one other things NOT sitting on the PC!! But I have done quite a lot today so I thought if I actually typed what I had done I wouldn't feel so guilty and it might motivate me to get off my bum and do some more!!
I have got up and dressed, got lo up and dressed, loaded dishwasher, both had breeky, had a play, had lunch, unloaded dishwasher and loaded it again, cleaned kitchen up a bit, went swimming lessons, made a cassarole with left overs from yesterday rather than going shopping as I planned to as realised we actually have loads of food and I should be more money saving! :T Now lo is having a nap and I am very tired. Seeing my day written done like that makes me feel like I have been more productive than i thought ......... but .......... WHY DOES MY HOUSE LOOK LIKE I DO NOTHING ALL DAY??! I think I better go and scrub the loo or something? :rotfl:SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -
I agree that putting it down in writing sometimes pushes me to do it as well. I really need to start getting up earlier in the morning and doing some stuff before DS wakes up. last few days he has been sick, so I haven't gotten a whole lot of anything done. DH goes back to work from his long weekend tomorrow, so I'll plan on starting things off tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on DS's illness and how he's feeling.
We had the snow here too - very distracting! Of course we had to go out and take pictures and play in the snow a bit! :rotfl: (with DS bundled up to his eyebrows, of course!)
I will be making my list of what's in the freezer and cupboards tonight so I can get the meal plan done for this week. I know I have sweet and sour sauce in the cupboard and chicken in the freezer, so at least tomorrow's tea is sorted.
I need to get back into the habit of baking regularly as well. I think the morning sickness has derailed that a bit.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -

Have not done much today. Did not attempt to wash carpets in the end BUT did mould-and-mildew remover squirt my shower curtains. The house still stinks of bleach. Have put loads of stuff on freecycle and photoed LOADS of stuff for Ebay ... just need to get round to listing it now; that could be OHs job for lunchtime tomorrow.
Off to phone a tiler for a quote. Didn't bother buying a new loo seat in the end as I need to invest in a new bathroom, full stop, so every penny counts!!That's Numberwang!0
