There is a message on Quidco that the current £70 cashback offer will end at midnight tomorrow - Thursday (30/4/09).

EDIT: 1/5/09. Ignore this. Quidco have extended the offer into May (No closing date quoted as yet)

Gutted about this. My BT line (free installation :T) is being installed next Wed (8 May) and I can't order O2 broadband until I have my BT line, which means I'll miss out on this offer by a week :(. Oh well, at least I have till end of May to qualify for the first 3-months for free offer .

Me and my DW have just had a visit from a financial advisor (very good she was) and she has pointed out that we are paying BT for broadband and telephone(with calls) about 70 quid a month   a month.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get this down.
Cant get O2 cos we're outside the area and talk talk are rubbish arent they.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.Thanks

Isabelle, when you ordered your BT install did they tell you what your number is?

If so, you should still be able to order your broadband with O2, then eventually you'll get an e-mail to say that the line is inactive and to call BT.

Then just wait until the line is installed and active and ring O2 and let them know its done so they can proceed.

The above is exactly what I did.

I placed my order on the O2 website on the 24th April but the line was only installed yesterday.

How does that £70 break down to line rental / broadband / calls / call packages etc.

They did tell me what my number would be but unfortunately that number is not being accepted by the O2 site. (I just keep getting an error message saying that it is not a BT number ) so I cannot proceed with the order :(.

Sorry but this will mean that you can't do your order completely online to get the Quidco cashback but I have to say Quidco have had a fairly good cashback deal with o2 since the beginning of the year. I got £70 in January, then got a friend to sign up when it was £50 just before that finished but it changed from £50 back to £70

Before giving up though can you phone BT and ask them again to confirm your new number with o2 then go back through Quidco?

I'd also add that even without the savings from Quidco the offer from o2 was too good to miss and my speed is considerably better than I was paying £10 more for.

How long ago did you order the line installation? If it was only yesterday or recently they won't have updated their system yet.

I would suggest trying again tomorrow to squeeze in before the deadline, or if that doesn't work then keep an eye on Topcashback who are (IMHO) better than Quidco and it doesn't seem to say on there that their rate ends tomorrow.....

I have a few questions..although they're not related to the offer itself mind you

    1. Anyone tried using a Pay & Go SIM that wasn't theirs and is registered to a different address, e.g. a sibling's? It looks like there'll be no problem with this but I just want to be sure.
    2. Do o2 send you paper or at least printable original-looking PDF receipts? I can claim my broadband costs back but it has to be a proper receipt, or at least one that'll pass for proper.
    3. Anyone here suffered bad traffic shaping from them?
